We have loved getting to serve folks alongside for a few years now! Their heart for Asylum Seekers in the DFW area is unmatched. They are well-organized and do a great job of educating their volunteers and helping them get plugged into the organization!
I reached out to DASH to receive more information about the organization and ways we might potentially serve. We were immediately connected to the ED, Munatsi, who took time to visit our home and share more about his personal story and the DASH network with our church small group.
Our group signed up to provide a meal for one of their monthly gatherings and I joined the meal ministry program of their services to provide assistance when possible.
DASH has great communication with volunteers with thorough lists of needs and expectations. Our group felt like we were actually able to provide tangible support and enjoyed being an encouraging presence. I appreciated every connection point, the thoughtful training materials provided, and the follow up after serving.
We will continue to serve and connect with DASH.
If you’re looking for an organization that is making a difference in social injustice and defending the poor and helpless in their time of need, look no further. We have volunteered with DASH for a few years now. Our role is to walk alongside our asylum family as they work through the program and help them make the cultural adjustments. We are friends, activity coordinators, cultural advisors, packers, furniture movers and any other thing the family may need. We feel DASH is doing a great job helping those who would otherwise be defenseless prey. They change lives and make a difference. Shouldn’t we all be doing that?
I have been volunteering in the food delivery area for a couple of years now. DASH Has impressed me as a well run organization with good leadership that is doing important work for persons seeking asylum. Wood has impressed me just as much has been the persons seeking asylum.
This organization is a joy to work with. It is easy for my kids to be involved. They enjoy hanging out and playing with other DASH kids.
Our family has volunteered for several years now with DASH, serving both as translators and as advocates for a specific family. We love the mission of DASH as well as the incredible ways they live it out. Their heart, drive, passion, and professionalism are deeply impressive.
DASH is such an incredible organization and touches so many lives - not only those receiving services but everyone who volunteers and gets a glimpse of this beautiful, global community. A dignified approach to welcoming and empowering those impacted by forced displacement.
Dash cares for the needs of the asylum seekers by providing furnished apartments, food, clothing, companionship, outings, English lessons, etc. I have taught ESL classes to beginners and find the students eager to learn and appreciative of all that is done to help them. It’s a privilege to work with the different staff and volunteers.
DASH is a place where we are all just humans coming alongside each other through the ups and downs of life. I love the intentionality on empowering vulnerable populations and giving a voice to those our society has made silent. There is so much beauty and culture among the DASH family. It is a place where anyone can come to grow and learn more about the sacrificial love of Jesus.
Their "multi-cultural" worship nights are incredible. Their humble, grass-roots desire to come alongside the sojourner is inspiring. Grateful this organization is near and easy to connect with in support!
Dash is a wonderful nonprofit that works diligently with asylum seekers to help them adjust to their new home. They work closely with the volunteers to be able to come along side those people they serve. We have enjoyed volunteering with Dash and highly recommend them.
We love DASH! DASH is making a lifelong impact in the lives of people seeking asylum. They are serving a population of people that seems not to be served by other nonprofits. Our family enjoys volunteering with them and getting to know the people they serve. We highly recommend them!
I love DASH! I had the opportunity to volunteer here as an advocate and as an ESL teacher. The DASH team is great and the orginization fills a very important need for asylum seekers.
We’ve worked with DASH in several ways over the last couple of years. It’s an amazing ministry to help the least of the least. Their origin story is wonderful and we just love the way they make asylum seekers feel welcome and loved
Great NPF with a cool origin story. They take great care and intentionality in their work with asylum seekers. Proud and grateful that I am able to do a tiny bit to help DASH through my local church.
DASH does an excellent job of educating and equipping volunteer advocates for Asylum Seekers. Our case worker has been proactive and helpful with translation services when needed and with finding financial help to cover emergency medical services when required. The services they provide are carefully and thoughtfully designed to meet basic needs without creating long term dependency. I wholeheartedly recommend this worthwhile organization.
I've had the blessing of volunteering with DASH for several years, and continue to be blown away by the care and intentionality with which they approach everyone. They are fiercely protective of the safety and dignity of the residents in their care, and take every opportunity to lift them up and honor the contributions they make to our community. It's a joy working with them, and I'm so thankful for the life changing work they do in Fort Worth. I wish every city had a DASH Network to provide the deep level of support that asylum seekers so desperately need in those early days after their arrival in the U.S.
