Mission: Detroit community justice partnership (dcjp) is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to preventing crime in the community and empowering residents to play active roles in improving the quality of life in their neighborhoods through crime prevention, education, and family development. In 1996, dcjp received official recognition state as a u. S. Department of justice weed and seed site. Weed and seed is a crime prevention component of the usdoj, initiated in 1991, committed to "weeding" out crime, and "seeding" in positive community resources.
