Mission: Des Moines Historical Society, founded in 1978, is the only organization preserving and disseminating the history of the greater Des Moines, Washington area. The Society is comprised entirely of volunteers that staff our Museum and offer public programs. In addition, the Society is enlarging its presence on the Internet to reach a larger audience.
