Mission: Denver police activities league provides athletic and educational opportunities to denver youth during high-risk hours and strives to be a positve interface between the denver police department and the community.
Programs: The denver police activities league offers year-round educational, recreational and competitive sports programs for ages 4 to 14. Activities include football, baseball, jump rope, fishing, camping, hiking, bicycling, lego league, and history programs for both boys and girls throughout the denver metro area. Dpal developes character, leadership, and responsibility values in boys and girls while generating respect for law and order as well as for the men and women who uphold the law as a livelihood. Dpal enhances a youth's self-esteem and self-respect by channeling youth energies in worthwhile directions. An estimated 4,000 boys and girls participated in dpal's programs in 2017.
overlord history program: in 2017, the organization purchased a building in historic sainte mere eglise, france. The home will enable the organization to bring scores of kids and officers to normandy to participate in the overlord history program.
