Before his accident he was the lead singer of Dennis Yost and the Classics IV and received four Gold Records for "Spooky" "Stormy" "Traces (of Love)", and "Every Day with You Girl" and had 16 charted singles. He is a member of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, the Florida Music Hall of Fame, and Cincinnati Music Hall of Fame.
