Programs: The barn on baseline (dcawl) cares for lost, abandoned & donated cats and dogs until they are adopted by the public. Shelter provides access for spay and neuter services. Shelter also provides education about care for animals. Several hundred cats and dogs were adopted in the last year. Dcawl is constructing a sanctuary to house pets when an elderly pet owner enters a long term care facility or an enlisted service person is unable to care for their pet when they are deployed.
