Deer Run Camps & Retreats

This is one of the most messed up camps I have ever had any experience with. Never let your children work there or attend. They are abusive to counselors. Fire them without cause or a reason and leave them locked in a “house” unattended. They lie to the parents, they lie to the other counselors. We picked up my wife’s sister and then had to rescue another young women who was also fired without cause. What both of the girls told us the only reason given to them when they were fired was the main director of the camp John told them “God does not want them there”. Which is an absolutely vile thing to say to any young adult. Both times we picked them up they were left unattended and alone in a house that if they walked out they would be locked out, with no food and drinks. When we arrived there was no one that would meet us there or even speak to us. They claim to be a place that holds Christian values but they do not. They treat these counselors they let go as though they are violent criminals.

It is a special place where God is present and at work.

Love Deer Run! Their heart for ministry is obvious and reflected in everything they do! My family just loves it there!

Deer Run is such an amazing place! When you first step onto the property your just overtaken by its beauty. It is a home away from home. It truly emanates God's love. Everyone is so nice and is one big family. My entire family love coming to Deer Run. From working there to coming as a guest. My family is all DEER RUN!

I love the community that takes place here at Deer Run and that you are truly able to feel the Lord’s presence here in the Valley. Its amazing to see the growth that takes place in not only the campers but also yourself and the staff!

I will never hesitate to support the ministry and staff at Deer Run! I've never encountered a more focused and excellent team of people. From the top of the organization all the way down, the staff at Deer Run are laser focused on the ministry and they give 200% in service to the community and to each other. It's truly incredible to witness this servant hearted attitude overflow into their camps and events and everything they do. The Spirit is welcomed and active at Deer Run! You will leave changed!

Deer Run is such a special place to my family. We have attended camps, mother-daughter weekend, father-son weekend, married couples weekend, family day, and more! We always leave wanting to come back and wishing the events would never end! Deer Run is intentional at providing experiences for families to have fun and grow in their relationships with one another. We also love the Christian environment and focus on relationship with God.

I've been praying for this organization since Day 1 and loved watching it be fashioned into what it's become today, a place just far enough outside of town to feel you are at a wonderful "getaway retreat" that's actually within 15 minutes of town. It provides a great release for just a day or a weekend for families, corporate groups, team building opportunities, birthday parties, or church retreats for all ages - and SUMMER CAMP on top of all that! What an opportunity Deer Run has to inspire people of all ages to build stronger relationships with Jesus, their family and friends! Deer Run is one of my FAVORITE PLACES!!!
