Mission: DMW was founded in 1989. The goals of the ministry first and foremost, is to share with the 250 million Deaf people worldwide the Good News of Jesus Christ. Second, to train Deaf men and women with God's called on their life to be pastors, missionaries, evangelists and teachers. This is accomplished through our 3-year Bible school, the Evangelism Training Center, which trains Deaf men and women with a call of God on their life for Deaf ministry. Only 2% of the Deaf population professes to be Christians and Wycliffe reports that there are 103 different sign languages. If all the Deaf in the world came together in one place they would be the fourth largest nation in the world. Our philosophy is train Deaf to reach the Deaf in their language and Culture. The Deaf are one of the most overlooked and neglected missions field in the entire world!
