Causes: Arts & Culture, Performing Arts, Symphony Orchestras
Mission: To enliven the spirit, inspire the imagination, cultivate the musical appreciation and serve the entertainment needs of the greater dayton area and surrounding communities.
Programs: The classical series consist of eight sets of concerts that provide music from various composers during the season.
the pops series consists of six sets of concerts meant to attract more diverse audiences into the concert hall.
the education programs give us the opportunity to interact with over 70,000 students in 14 county area of west central ohio. These programs are performed both in classrooms and the concert hall. Our schools partnering with artist reaching kids (spark) program integrates the areas of science, math, social studies, language arts and music in a classroom setting with the musicians developing a lesson plan that coordinates with the classroom instruction. In addition we offer a number of ensemble programs in the schools and specific grade level concerts in the benjamin and marian schuster performing arts center.
