Daystar just expanded their office area by purchasing a mobile office unit. This offers their clients more privecy and allows their food storage to be relocated to the first level making the task of stocking and storing of the food items safer. If you visit their Thrift storem be sure to check out the three sheds outside the rear of the store for more great bargins. The Department of Transportation had recently made Daystart a local bus stop.

I visit Daystar almost daily. They always have a hot pot of coffee on and the other volunteers are a joy to talk with. Daystar does so much for so many, which makes it a great agency for our area. Daystar provides assistance to the entire county. It’s amazing the amount of food they go through to help the needy, hungry and homeless. If you need help paying for rent, Daystar is there, if you assistance with utilities, Daystar is there. For those that need clothing, Daystar is there; need prescription medication, bus rides, acquiring ID’s, Daystar is there. It’s amazing the number of dedicated volunteers that help at Daystar. The Receptionist, Interviewers, Kitchen Service, Food Service, Truck Drivers, Grounds Workers, Cashiers, Merchandise Sorters, Stockers and those volunteers that maintain the sheds of Thrift Store items all do a fabulous job. It’s a pleasure to see so many come together to help our community. Daystar, you’re the greatest!!!
