Review of the DAWN Inc. Charity Foundation and Yulia Brockdorf
I met Yulia Brockdorf, the co-founder of the DAWN Inc. in early 2023 during the war in Ukraine. DAWN'S dedication to helping our country impressed me from the very first moment.
Yulia is a military and veteran psychotherapist who regularly travels to Ukraine despite all the dangers. Her primary mission is to provide psychological support and assistance to our veterans, who risk their lives every day to defend Ukraine from the aggressor. Every time she arrives in the country, Yulia heads straight to the front lines to be with those who need her most.
Yulia visits Ukraine 3-4 times a year. Between her trips, she and the team of dedicated professionals work tirelessly in the United States, collecting humanitarian aid for Ukrainian hospitals and military medics. Thanks to DAWN'S efforts, many Ukrainian medical professionals have received the necessary equipment, medicines, and training support.
DAWN Inc. is the embodiment of humanity, professionalism, and dedication. Their team set an example of true charity, capable of changing lives even in the most challenging circumstances.
I am deeply grateful to Yulia and DAWN team for their work. Their support is invaluable to Ukraine during this difficult time.
DAWN walks the walk and does real work
I have been honored and privileged to join with DAWN and the work they are doing to relieve suffering and meet dire needs in Ukraine. All the donations that DAWN collects go directly to where they are most needed, even when that means delivering to or near the front lines of battle. It has been inspiring to me to see the incredibly hard word and the enormous dedication of DAWN's all-volunteer team, and to join them in it. I endorse them wholeheartedly, and commend them to anyone who wants help Ukrainians in the fight for their home and their freedom.
I am incredibly proud and grateful to be a part of DAWN, an organization that does not just provide essential support, but also brings hope and healing during one of the darkest times for my country, Ukraine. Right now, as the war rages on in Ukraine, the work that DAWN does is absolutely vital. The volunteers and amazing leaders who guide this organization are changing lives, offering not just aid, but also emotional support, which is so crucial, especially for those of us who have been forced to flee our homes.
I know firsthand how important this kind of support is. Two and a half years ago, I fled the war with my daughter, leaving behind everything we knew. It was a painful and uncertain journey, but meeting these kind-hearted people who work with DAWN was a blessing. Together, we have been able to make a difference—helping veterans, organizing cultural events, and so much more. Each small act of kindness, each initiative, means so much to those who are struggling.
DAWN does more than just provide practical help; it helps to rebuild lives and restore dignity. The psychological support they offer is truly a lifeline for so many, and it’s something that I know has made a real difference in my life as well.
Being part of this incredible team fills me with a deep sense of purpose and pride. I am honored to be working alongside such dedicated and compassionate people, who not only help Ukrainians both at home and abroad, but also embody the spirit of solidarity and resilience that is so needed in these times. Together, we are not just surviving—we are building a brighter future, one act of kindness at a time.
This is more than an organization. This is a family. And I am so proud to be a part of it.
I’m honored to be a board member of this incredible organization. When the full scale invasion broke out, I knew I had to do something to help. I’m so fortunate to have met some incredible humans that wanted to help as well and, together, we co-founded this organization. I’m immensely grateful to all of our hardworking volunteers for helping us save the lives of Ukrainian defenders, help the refugees in Oregon and spread cultural awareness.
DAWN is a great organization to volunteer for. DAWN is making a real difference bringing life-saving aid to Ukraine. Not only does DAWN bring crucial supplies to Ukraine consistently, this amazing organization also provides wellness services and Ukrainian cultural events in the Portland area. I'm inspired by Yulia and Inna and all of the spirited members that dedicate their lives to support Ukraine through DAWN's incredible and important work and I'm proud to be a part of their community.
Volunteering with DAWN has been a great experience. The Ukrainian community is rooted in a beautiful and rich history & culture. It has been so nice learning how we as Americans can support our community members from different backgrounds and supporting the fight for democracy across the world. The aggression brought to the Ukrainian people was against their will but their perseverance and determination to fight is incredibly inspiring. DAWN’s ability to deliver results and support to the front lines is an attestation to their commitment to a free Ukraine.
DAWN is an incredible organization. When russia invaded Ukraine, I like many people looked for ways to support Ukrainians directly rather than having money go to admin and overhead. I met Yulia at a farmers' market of all places where she and DAWN were doing a fundraiser by selling baked goods and other items, and have been involved in supporting the organization ever since. I'm comforted in knowing that every penny raised goes to help Ukraine, and Yulia herself is simply remarkable in her dedication and energy and persistence - I don't know how she does it. DAWN is the organization I'm proud to tell people about when they ask how to help Ukraine, as I know that every donation is money well-spent in helping Ukrainians.
DAWN is a great charity who does real work in Ukraine and hells refugees as well. I first hand saw the amazing impact of their work. They're a great team of people to stand beside.

Volunteering with DAWN has been one of the most meaningful experiences in my life. This isn’t just an organization that promises to help—it’s one that delivers aid directly to those who need it most. I’ve had the privilege of helping prepare medical supplies and traveling to Ukraine whare I saw the impact firsthand.
