Mission: The davidson lands conservancy is organized to work with landowners to permanently protect for the general public natural and scenic open spaces, farms, woodlands, lakefront, stream corridors and wildlife habitats principally in, but not limited to, the town of davidson, the davidson extraterritorial jurisdiction, and adjacent areas in north carolina counties including the counties of mecklenburg, cabarrus, and iredell.
Programs: The davidson lands conservancy holds events such as "run for green- and "green ball" which involve participants from the local community and surrounding counties. A newsletter is produced quarterly and mailed to all present and former contributors/members and to the general public through mailing lists and distribution through local business entities. Through these venues, the davidson lands conservancy is able to raise awareness of the general public of the need to preserve our natural & scenic open spaces, woodlands, streams & wildlife habitats.
