I am a proud member of the Daughters of the Nile and support its philanthropy, Daughters of the Nile Foundation. The Foundation's mission is to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. This all-female Foundation Board, along with members of the Daughters of the Nile, works daily to make a difference in the lives of Shrine patients.
Daughters of the Nile Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation of volunteer women dedicated to the growth of its permanent endowment fund and, through its annual distribution, benefits Shriners Hospitals for Children®.
Over the last few years Daughters of the Nile Foundation has donated over $1.6 million dollars to the Shriners Hospitals for Children®.
Founded in 1913 Daughters of the Nile Foundation supports the Shriner's Hospital for Children. Second only to Shriners themselves in donations, DONF has given over $62 million to the Shriner's Hospitals. They donate their resources and time to help fulfill the mission so that no child will be turned away from care.
All members enjoy fulfilling our mission of being a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation of volunteer women dedicated to the growth of its permanent endowment and, through its annual distribution, benefits Shriners Hospitals for Children (r)
The Daughters of the Nile Foundation has no other purpose other than to help the children of Shriners Hospitals for Children. Enough said.
I help organize the clothing room with items our patients and families need or will need while staying for treatment. Burn patient care is extensive and requires lengthy stays. Our Auxiliary donates numerous items for our hospital, doctors, staff, and patients for the best free pediatric burn treatment in the world.
The DAUGHTERS of the Nile Foundation helps all the Shriners hospital care with annual monetary donations with over a million dollars each year.
I was introduced to this amazing foundation a few years ago and was immediately impressed with the level of contribution to its only philanthropy, Shriners Hospital for Children. Since then, I have been privileged to be involved with Daughters of the Nile Foundation on many levels. Whether I was a volunteer, working to raise money in an event, or a private donor, supporting with my charitable giving, I saw firsthand the enormous impact these donations make in improving the lives of children who receive treatment through the Shriners Hospital system. As a new foundation board member, I am seeing a bigger picture, focusing on not only what is contributed but which hospital benefits with money for the latest advances in equipment and/or services.
Working with this foundation in all aspects has been very rewarding for me and I am proud to actively participate. I would highly recommend this foundation to everyone as a very worthy cause because we help make a difference in the life of a child!
I have been a member for over 30 years. Most of my adult life I have known about, supported and been a member of this organization who helps support the work that Shriners Hospitals for Children do every day for children.
I have seen first hand the members working so hard to raise funds to benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children. They believe in their cause, and are willing to volunteer many days to help the children. They give parties for the patients, purchase equipment for the hospitals, provide funds for the hospitals, just to name a few.
The reason I support the Daughters of the Nile Foundation is because of its commitment to Shriners Hospitals for Children and the children they serve without consideration for financial circumstance.
