I first started participating with Daring Adventure in 2013. I took a break and came back in 2016 with paddle fest. From there I did several day hikes and other activities with Daring Adventure. On February 24 2018 I had a serious fall that left me paralyzed from the waist down but with it came time for PSC 2018 Daring Adventure provided me a safari chair and excellent voulenteers for assistant so I could participate. It's because of Daring Adventure I can continue participating in inclusive activities.

Daring Adventures played a major role in my husbands life once he became disabled with MS. On a professional role he was their first Board President but on a personal role he benefited greatly from the adventures afforded him. He rafted the Colorado for 15 days--a trip of a lifetime for him. He kayaked and also hand cycled with Daring Adventures. He was a lifelong runner and missed physical activity and Daring Adventures put him in an active role again. I also volunteered at Rose Mofford cycling with the participants. Sadly, MS took George's life in 2014 however his legacy lives on as I am committed to sponsoring an adult for the river trip annually. I want someone in need to experience the joy George experienced. I am so committed to this program, after my death Daring Adventures will be one beneficiary of our Trust. MS took George's life but Daring Adventures gave him life while alive and for that he and I are forever thankful and supportive of this very deserving non profit. ADVENTURE ON!!!

I had the opportunity to go on an 8 Day Grand Canyon trip with this group and it was amazing. The spirits on this trip were some of the highest I've ever seen (as a Grand Canyon outfitter), even though we had very cold weather. The organization level from the staff was top notch and the participants were some of the most interesting and sweetest humans I've met. I highly recommend getting involved with this organization.

Thank you Daring Adventures for helping me get outdoors to try new activities and to get some exercise. Your staff and volunteers make each outing safe, fun and very enjoyable. My life has been enriched by the activities but most of all by the people involved in each activity.

The dedication of the staff and volunteers is the best I have ever seen. And their passion for providing outdoor recreation for people with all abilities is amazing. If there is a way, they will find it and everyone will have a life changing, safe experience. I love hearing the stories from the day trips to the river trips. I serve on this board because I believe in what they do and because they do it so well!

I was fortunate to engage with Daring Adventures through a large fundraising campaign in a civic leadership organization. What an amazing group of people that give so much back to our community. They create outdoor opportunities for teens and adults with various disabilities. Seeing the joy on their faces as they connect with others and enjoy activities like rafting and hiking was priceless. They give each person his or her own Everest to reach for.

I have volunteered with various programs over the past 6 years with this organization and fall more in love each time. They are a group of make-it-happen people and I've yet to see a challenge go unaccepted. I always leave feeling inspired by the staff, participants, and other volunteers.

I am blown away at the power of this organization! Instead of telling people with disabilities what they can't do, it is all about what they can do! Daring Adventures gives individuals with disabilities and significant life challenges the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a meaningful way--hiking, cycling, kayaking, river rafting and more. I am proud to be a volunteer and supporter.

River trips through Daring Adventures changed the direction of my career and taught me the value of recreation! I am deaf/oral, never thought I could do this type of recreation due to my hearing and back problems, etc. But the accommodations are SEAMLESS and just right. Nothing I have done will ever compare to riding level 4-5 rapids with a group of people who appreciated the opportunity just as I did. We were deaf, blind, mobility, cognitively, intellectually, and a whole host of levels of fitness, ability levels and all. O' but we were in unity, in sinc, in the water, in the boat, in the rapids all together in love with all that wildness of space, water, rock and light... O what awesomeness. And the sensitivity as we all helped with it all... As someone on the trip said as we were returning to Phoenix. That was civilization. O and how awesome it was.

I have been with this organization for almost one year and have had the wonderful opportunity of becoming involved not only with the helping provide guidance for the organization but working directly with the participants in many of their activities.

Just because a person may have a disability or facing a life challenge, does not mean that they cannot enjoy the power of outdoor recreation. Their is no better gift in life than having the opportunity to help others succeed and Daring Adventure provides the program to do that.
