I have been volunteering at Daniel's Table for 2 1/2 years and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I am a retired Spanish teacher and was always afraid that I would lose my Spanish after I stopped teaching, but when a fellow volunteer suggested that I help out at Daniel's Table since they have many clients, or "friends" as we say, whose only language is Spanish, I knew this was the place for me. It is especially gratifying when our Spanish and Portuguese friends say "Que Dios te bendiga" (God bless you) and are thankful that they have me and others whose first language is Portuguese or those who rely on their high school/college language skills to communicate with them. Many have even volunteered as a gesture of appreciation. Daniel's Table's goal is truly to help fulfill the needs of Framingham. "Que Dios bendiga" Daniel's Table!

I have been volunteering at Daniel’s Table since February. I have volunteered at other food pantries in the past, but Daniel’s Table is much more than just a food pantry. Along with a weekly “market” where clients can choose from fresh produce donated weekly by local farms, as well as milk, eggs, meats, grains and more, there is an educational component that teaches clients and their young children about nutrition and the benefits of proper nutrition. The goal is to guide clients to make healthy choices now and in the future. I love volunteering at Daniel’s Table; it is an organization that truly makes a difference in the lives of so many in the City of Framingham.

They have been a wonderful collaborator with our non-profit and went above and beyond to help us serve people through our clinic. They are a kind and creative organization and we are lucky to work with them! When we reached out with a need, they jumped into action and met with us in person to hear our story and teach us about their approach to the work.

When my niece Jaime was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in July 2019, Daniel’s Table came through with such compassion! They sent meals for her husband and three young children, and they reached out to their network, many of whom offered additional assistance. Jaime was deeply grateful. We all were. Please support this wonderful organization however you can!

I've had the good fortune of volunteering at Daniel's table, preparing the food , as well as assisting clients with welcoming and choosing products available for them.
The quality of the produce is of the highest standard as well as frozen protein packages and canned goods all within expiration dates.
Daniel's table is a warm friendly place with small projects for the children who come with a parent.
We also try to educate people about the nutritional aspects of what they have available to them.
I'm quite new volunteering at Danial's Table, having been a donor before a volunteer. It now makes my $$$ and my help most meaningful.

The workers at Daniel's Table are always friendly, appreciative, and helpful. I occasionally donate money and/or bring assorted bags. Recently I had several bags of food from an apartment clear-out: while I offered to wait for the sorters to triage out the unacceptable so I could compost the contents, they insisted on doing the rejections... and had a place to compost them!

As a side note: Daniel's Table allows customers to visit weekly and have some say about what they want. This two-way interaction results in less food being dumped by the customer because it was unwanted. Good move!

I've have had such a wonderful experience volunteering with Daniel's Table. They are a group that really cares, and strives for their work to be infused with love but also well organized and thoughtful so that they can make the biggest impact possible.

I have been volunteering for DT for the past 2+ years and have enjoyed the opportunity to participate in this local food security program. The high quality and variety of the food, the respect offered to the community in need and the creativity, energy and passion of the staff and other super volunteers make this a very worthwhile and satisfying use of my time.
