Programs: Academics-Dallas Int'l is best known for its certificate and MA degree program in Applied Linguistics, training students for work in the areas of linguistics, translation, and cross-cultural service. However, our MA with a major in World Arts is growing rapidly with concentrations in Applied Arts, Arts & Islam, Arts & Scripture Engagement, and Linguistics. In the fall of 2019, the World Arts Department will launch its PhD program. Our Applied Anthropology department also offers an MA with a major in Language and Culture Studies with a wide range of concentrations for students interested in literacy, Islamic worldviews, language survey, sociolinguistics, and scripture engagement. The Abraham Center is proud to offer an MA with a major in Abrahamic Studies. Undergraduate students are also a priority at Dallas Int'l! Our College of International Studies offers courses for a full BA with a major in International Service and minors in Linguistics, World Arts, Cross-cultural Service, TESOL, and Abrahamic Studies. Other schools are also partnering with Dallas Int'l to offer their students some of the benefits of the specialized training we offer. The offerings vary from a college requiring a semester at Dallas Int'l to complete a linguistics minor to a prestigious seminary offering a dual degree program. Student Services: Of the library collection of over 50,000 items, many of the resources concentrate on linguistics and applied linguistics, minority languages, literacy, translation studies, biblical studies, anthropology and ethnology, sociolinguistics, cross-cultural training, world arts, and area studies. While most of the items are books or journals, there are also several thousand collected articles. Several primary linguistic, anthropological, religious, cultural, and educational indexes may be accessed at the library. Not only does the Dallas Int'l library boast a trove of print resources, but it also offers access to digital resources, including over 300 online journals, databases, indexes, newspapers, tutorials, and other online libraries. With over 100 years of professional library experience and multiple master's degrees, the library staff is highly qualified to care for this valuable collection. Financial Aid-while Dallas Int'l strives to keep tuition rates low, students who qualify may also receive financial aid in the form of scholarships and work-study. All financial aid will be administered according to our nondiscriminatory equal opportunity policy. The student body association (SBA) serves primarily to give voice and representation to the student body, provide channels of communication to Dallas Int'l entities, and to integrate all phases of extracurricular life of the student body. Officers of the SBA are elected by the student body. The Student Body Association also elects a student representative to the Dallas Int'l board of trustees, faculty forum, computer advisory committee, library committee, safety committee, and the institutional master planning committee.
