This company is unique in every sense of the word. From the individuals who run it, the actors who are lucky enough to be a part of the productions, the shows themselves that are like no others and the people who devote their time to help out (and how they are treated), this company is one of a kind. Renee Rodrigez is so open minded, committed and fearless, that the people who are around her can't help but follow suit. And the productions are always innovative and fun - and never take themselves too seriously - in the best sense of the word. I have been lucky enough to be a stage manager and assistant for their Shakespeare in the park shows - Julius Caesar and Two Gentlemen of Verona - and not only was the cast diverse and talented, both shows had a fantastic sense of humor and a feeling of togetherness. It is rare to meet such dedicated, passionate and professional people. I can't wait to work with them again!

Amalgamate Dance Company had the pleasure of collaborating with the Curious Frog Theatre Company for their Spring Preview Salon. We found this event to be packed out with a collection of emerging artists and excited patrons. They aligned an assortment of artists to perform and share their work throughout the evening creating a successful event where social networking followed over wine and tasty treats! Don't miss out on the fun!

The response to our shows and our mission statement is tremendous, from audience to company members and volunteers, and actors in our shows. The group is very dedicated and easy to work with, inventive and uniquely creative. And, highly dependable. When people say we always put on a quality show, they aren't talking about the glamour of an expensive set; they're referring to quality actors and concepts.

Curious Frog draws a group of artists dedicated to putting on a great show. I had the pleasure of working on one their production of "True West", and was amazed by the creativity and hard work each person on the artistic team brought to the table. The result...a hot, crisp show, and a great freaking time.

I had the pleasure of attending CFT's Romeo & Juliet in Prospect Park last summer. The lines were delivered beautifully -- I heard (and found myself listening to) every word. The staging was both graceful and economical. Add this company's' season to your "things that make NYC great" pile.
