I have two children that suffer from eosinophilic disease. With the help of CURED, I have reassurance that someday a CURE will be found. CURED is the only all volunteer organization that donates 100% of all their funds to medical research, which is needed desperately in the EOE community. They are provided no governmental funding for these disease.
CURED also for the past two years put on a fabulous conference targeting Patient Education Families, Children & Adult Patients. It provided an opportunity to our family to meet the top research from all across the WORLD... as they collaborating on the latest research. Meeting all these professionals in one location was economical and efficient for our family. In the evening our family was able to connect with other families and it brought a sense of Hope. I was eager to leave that educational weekend with a great conference booklet which I refer to often in treating my own children.
My child has EOE and I have to say this organization is simply amazing. They are not only laser focused on a cure for EOE but provide a tremendous amount of emotional support for families and those affected by EOE. They have donated north of $2.5MM directly to research and the doctors and researchers who have been funded by CURED are making incredible progress. This is a no brainer...EOE researchers need funds to continue to search for a better treatments and hopefully a cure. CURED does just that. I strongly encourage anyone thinking of supporting CURED to review the amount raised and donated to research. You will be amazed at the how the efforts of this incredible organization have had a real impact on getting closer to a cure. Thank you CURED...we love you
While this organization does a good job raising money, it lacks a professional review process for their donations that anyone is aware of. Their website is very lacking. It does not have very much information and is hard to navigate. Their head volunteers also have a tendency to be unprofessional and get involved in public and private arguments on social media sites. Their intentions are good the execution and decorum are lacking.
