I have been involved with Culture Connect as a volunteer for about a year now. I have been a part of a workshop that helps attendees better understand American business culture. This is important as immigrants and refugees are not aware of how American business functions. This is a wonderful organization that cares deeply about the people they serve and the challenges they face as they "develop cultural fluency among both immigrants and service providers to advance Atlanta as a flourishing internationally diverse community." The Culture Connect team works as a unit to meet their goals. Each employee that I have met understands the mission of their company and realizes that when they work as a team, goals get accomplished. The high level of work ethic and the driving force to help others is very evident. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to volunteer with Culture Connect and know others would be as well. The Go-Betweener(R) Mentoring Program: mentoring specifically for immigrant and refugee youth that matches based on language, culture, and experience of being a 1st or 2nd generation immigrant. The Education & Advocacy Program: empowering immigrants, refugees and Americans, unlocking their potential so that they can lead successful lives in Atlanta and become advocates for themselves and their communities.
