This is a great group with really useful discussions and presentations and lots of wonderful support. I highly recommend this group!
CSix Connect does two things exceedingly well for people who are looking for work.
It offers talks and workshops by presenters who are very knowledgeable and engaging. For example, this past week there was a talk on "Four Ways to Respond to Tough Interview Questions" with exercises done in pairs. Outstanding material, speaker, and practice.
And CSix provides informal small group networking before and after the presentations. This is always a good chance to meet other people and to dialog about our situations, ideas, and travails.
Very highly recommended.
I am extremely impressed with the high standards and quality of CSix from the guest speakers to the way the meetings are run. The meetings are professional, punctual and informative. There is a high emphasis on networking among the members which is great and much needed in today's job world. Hamid is a great down to earth friendly guy who really cares about the group and it shows.
I look forward to the weekly meetings for the guest speakers and to network/meet new people.
Effective ways to improve job seekers skills required to get interview and return to workforce.
A moral support.
A great networking training and opportunity.
CSIX is one of the best networking groups in the SF Bay Area for job seekers. In fact they are more than just a job networking group, they also organize social events such as a weekly hike in a local park. Come to a meeting and enjoy coffee, bagels, speakers, the company of friendly people. Don't forget to stay for lunch and get to know Hamid, who has been dedicated for years to the cause of helping job seekers get hired.
CSIX helps people find and manage the transition between jobs. Speakers provide inspiration and insight into the job hunt and hiring process. Participation builds a community of people helping each other find the next best opportunity, Weekly meetings and information exchange helps folks past the trauma of loosing a job, wade through the swamp of search, explore opportunities trough interest groups, restore confidence with resume-building, and preparation for interviews. Started by one man, nurtured by the continuously evolving participate community, and creating success for people. CSIX deserved recognition for being the best kind of nonprofit.
Directed unemployed veterans and former co-workers the availability of job search and resume writing workshop at CSIX with the talented and benevolent leader of Hamid Saadat.
Supportive community for those of us looking for the next career move. Most always, a valuable and informative guest speaker each weekly meeting. There were many times when I came away feeling enthused and energized.
They really help with our confidence by bringing speakers in to show us what steps are needed towards are next job.
CSIX Connect is a fabulous organization that provides professional guidance, networking opportunities in a positive and safe environment. CSIX and the volunteer staff provides some of the finest speakers that provide wonderful guidance and mindful way to regain employment.
Hamid is also a great leader and he provides positive guidance on helping people in finding good positions that has longevity . Great organization and I highly recommend C-SIX
The C6 Group has been an inspiration to give job seekers positive hope in finding the right job. Hamid leadership style is based on trust and provides tools for success. The speakers that are provided are on point and high value.
My hat is off for Hamid and his efforts to help those that are in need.
CSIX is an amazing organization - always going the extra mile to bring great speakers, provide thoughtful tips and suggestions and to foster a community of helpful networkers who are always willing to lend a hand to fellow job seekers. Kudos to CSIX and the successes they encourage!
This is a community for community effort initiated by Hamid, yet being driven by our community of professionals in-between their career. I would vote to divert 20% of EDD annual fund to CSIX!
CSix is a great non-profit organization which provides valuable services to job seeking professionals in the Bay Area. I always recommend it to colleagues and fellow job seekers as a great source to meet and network with other professionals. After all, that's what networking is all about. Again, a great non-profit organization. John M
They provided excellent resources at a time when I needed it most. Kind people, don't know where I would be without their support and guidance.
CSIX provides a great service and I have personally benefitted from the great program Hamid and the members put together.
C-Six presents highly-qualified guest speakers nearly every week, nearly year-round. I typically make several new LinkedIn connections each time I go.
Coffee-and-bagels are served before the meeting and lunch is provided after the speaker's presentation, at a very nominal cost.
I can't tell you how many friendships I've made there, in addition to learning useful ideas from nearly every speaker.
They have a variety of speakers that are informative and very helpful. The networking is superb and the lunches are tasty and reasonably priced. Best of all, the people are caring and generous with their time. They truly want to help people in career transition.
Hamid continues to recruit guest speakers that focus on psychology of motivation and job searching, though most recent speaker focused on how to more effectively use LinkedIn.
CSIX is a wonderful, safe and supportive environment for job seekers to replenish their hope, practice their 30-second elevator speech, gain new skills from the amazing array of weekly speakers and presentations, and make new friends. I simply love how Hamid has kept the original inception and ritual of having conversations with folks over a warm meal. Continued success and best wishes to Hamid and CSIX!
CSIX is an amazing group for job seekers. I've only been able to attend a couple of meetings due to my schedule (I'm working as a temp until I can find something full time). However, everyone there immediately made me feel welcome - especially Hamid Saadat. They also allowed me to join their e-mail list so I can stay up to date with the group even though I usually can't attend in person. I'm informed of the weekly meeting topics so that I know if they will apply to me and the times so I can try to make it. They also send out job leads and let you request contact information. The group has been extremely helpful and supportive to me and others I know in the Bay Area. When I open my inbox and see their e-mails I am instantly reminded that job searching doesn't have to be such a dreadful and lonely task. It reminds me that I'm not alone in this and that there are people out there willing to help in any ways they can. I highly recommend joining the group if possible!
They are a great group of people that truly care for their members. They are upbeat and supportive, they provide a safe environment to learn and grow, and they have great speakers!
CSIX is a great organization that brings in excellent speakers to help people in the midst of career-transition. The networking opportunities are terrific with lots of special interest groups. I especially love their hiking group which meets on Tuesday morning at Rancho San Antonio.
I was laid off and lost my confidence. Hamid and CSIX's gentle approach helped me contribute to help other job seekers and in the process gain my confidence and present myself positively to employers. I found a fabulous job and I am very thankful to CSIX.
CSIX is a phenomenal resource for job hunters. Hamid finds the most amazing speakers to help us develop our job seeking skills and inspire us as we search for our next success. CSIX meetings are a great place to network, share interview tips, and get support from other job hunters. Thank you, Hamid and your wonderful group of volunteers!
I found myself unemployed twice and utilized CSIX both times. The organization is great. They have great speakers that come in and great insights on your job search. They promote an environment where you can learn to network and network with others. It got me out of the house and interacting with people. It provides a friendly, safe, relaxing environment where you can sharpen your job hunting skills. Not to mention the thousands of people that are members who now have jobs that you can connect with.
Csix is a great resource for anyone who is in a job transition. They provide a professional environment where you can network with other individuals and here excellent presentations on ways to make the job transition easier. For me it was an opportunity I needed to get out of the house once a week and meet with other professionals to broaded my horizons on the job search task I had. It was better than any company paid outplacement service I have been involved in.
An awesome group led by an amazing founder. Supportive, friendly, open, helping people at a time of transition. Hamid personally cares that we each find support and progress along our personal career journeys. A place to connect, learn, share, grow
I joined CSIX in 2005. Over a course of three months, attending the networking and weekly event was held during the lunch hour. Motivation for colleagues was always good for your esteem especially keeping one character on an upbeat side. At times, we shared our near wins and most of all kept others encouraged with positive ideas. After three months, I landed a job outside the Bay Area. Years later, the same situation occurred where I needed a job. CSIX is now located on a Church property. Again, the same venue where both speakers and job seekers attend and lunch is served. I landed another job during the next three months in 2015. This is a great place to share experiences and of course, get a job.
This meeting was a great asset to me while I was unemployed and even now that I am working, I get the newsletters. CSIX gave me a chance to socialize with others who were also looking, discussing what was working and what was not. It was also a great opportunity to practice the "elevator" speech in a less pressured situation. The speakers were always relevant and tangible to the situation and market. Thanks to Hamid for keeping this chapter live and well!
I was grateful for receiving an one-off email for an open position at an online commerce business. It was at this position I gained the skills that I know utilize at my current job, which I love!!
This is such a wonderful community who is always looking to help one another, and I hope one day I can repay the favor!
The best thing for me with C6 was getting support from members while I was out of work. Although I did not get many leads in my profession, what I did get was confidence, a morale boost, and a career coach. That meant everything to me.
The connections I've met through CSIX have been very helpful for advancing my career. I found CSIX when I was unemployed (referred by a friend), and I attended many of the meetings for a while (I live many miles away, but I wanted to make the "connections"). Once I got a job, I kept my membership in CSIX … because with the current state of the "gig" economy and with employers now considering employees "disposable" we *need* something like CSIX to keep the connections and hope going.
When looking for a new employer, CSIX provides excellent networking opportunities (two of the companies that I interviewed with i found through CSIX), great speakers on topics relevant to a job hunt, and the emotional support of people who are also out there looking. I recommend CSIX to everyone I know who is searching for a new job.
CSIX helps me to learn how to get into new career again. It provides all kinds of help for job seeks in different ages.
CSIX really helped me with my job search--great speakers and a great community welcomes all job seekers. Attending a CSIX event was a highlight of my week during my job search.
I'm so grateful C-Six exists. The weeky speakers are excellent and informative with diverse subjects to learn. The community of job seekers is incredibly valuable - to share tips, know others are dealing and winning against the same challenges. I can't begin to thank Hamid enough for creating C-Six and keeping it going all these years for us. Please know, we are all so very grateful for the opportunity C-Six gives us, thank you!
This is an AMAZING organization and first class resource for folks!!!! The atmosphere is ALWAYS upbeat, encouraging, and welcoming. It is a low-key environment full of potential and information for attendees. The speakers are first class, always offering a bit of wisdom, encouragement and energy. It is designed to help connect folks looking for new jobs and provide opportunities to learn and grow in this difficult pursuit. I'm very grateful for the folks I have met here, and for the gifts that CSIX brings to each of us.
A very dedicated, professional organization whose sole mission is to help connect job seekers with employment and broaden their knowledge of job search success.
CSIX has helped me connect with some amazing people. It also gave me a wonderful opportunity to volunteer and grow my skill set.
CSIX run by Hamid and other volunteers for whoever needs their
services is an excellent nonprofit. It is very well organized and
provided me with much needed support when I needed it in my job search.
The talks by various speakers were always informational. Everyone
there is very helpful and friendly and it's also great place to network
and make long lasting connections. Thank you Hamid and the volunteers
for all your efforts!
True story...Was going to CSix meetings and Hamid would always tell us to turn off our cell phone ringer but leave it on vibrate because we may get a call from a recruiter or hiring manager. And sure enough, it happened to me! Left the meeting, went to a side room, and had a phone interview with a hiring manager and the rest is history; I got the job. Things learned through CSix helped so much.
Hamid has been running weekly meetings at CSIX for about a decade, and is always bringing in interesting speakers with content of value to job-seekers. His continuing generosity in supporting people who are going through the challenge of unemployment is an inspiration to all.
This is a very inspiring meeting; very useful in every stage of a job search process. Great team great organization
CSix is a genuine networking group, where people help and support each other. The speakers are also very interesting and the emails we get are extremely helpful. C
Thank you Hamid for all of your work and help!
Hamid and the group provide great support for those who are job searching. Very positive environment and lots of networking. Great non profit!
Hamid and everyone at CSix have been a great resource during my job search. Great connections, and great speakers every week.
Csix of Saratoga, CA is an amazing group ! I am especially impressed with the longevity and consistency of the group. It has helped many many people connect, practice, support each other through the ripple effect of powerful networking !!
CSIX is a great resource for people in career transition who are looking to make new connections, hear about job openings, and update their skills. Hamid puts together a highly relevant, interactive weekly program for current job seekers, as well as nurtures his 4,500+ alumni list which is a very valuable resource to job seekers.
What a great environment for those in career transition! Hamid and his staff generously volunteer their time and talents to create a kind, caring, authentic culture. They do a fantastic job of booking speakers, events, and networking opportunities. What makes it even more special, is Csix attracts smart and talented members who freely share their knowledge. All you have to do is ask. Very powerful, very real support. Highly recommended. Dan C.
Hamid runs an amazing program. Networking your way into a job is the key concept and all the associated activities are addressed. Always interesting, relevant speakers and a tasty lunch with more networking happens each week. It's a very consistent, solid, reliable program. Check out the details of upcoming meetings on the website csix.org.
I have known of CSIX for many years and participated in their networking sessions whenever I am in between jobs. They are a gift to the community as volunteers organize the weekly meetings in Saratoga which are professionally run (agenda). They recruit fascinating speakers who are highly relevant to job seekers' needs. The meetings attract an eclectic group of people, so it's always fun to network, and I made friends with several people with similar interests and backgrounds.
My new job at one of California’s top academic institutions is a direct result of my involvement with CSIX CONNECT.
The first priority of any job seeker when faced with the isolation of unemployment is networking. What I found tremendously helpful were the weekly member meetings, which provided structured agendas for networking as well as guest speakers, and the weekly hikes that offered opportunities for engaging conversations in an informal and welcoming environment.
It was on one of those hikes that I expressed an interest in changing my career direction. Someone in the group notified me of a job posting and I was encouraged to pursue this position that was outside the scope of my prior work experience. It was this inspiration and reassurance that gave me the confidence and motivation to proceed, and ultimately I succeeded in getting the job.
Supportive, effective, and efficient, CSIX CONNECT is one of the finest organizations serving job seekers in the Bay Area. I can’t recommend it or Hamid Saadat, its President and Founder, highly enough.
They have relevant speakers every week, relevant emails about job openings, and a series of workshop announcements about employment in the Bay Area.
Supporting people to find the next step of their career.
Proud to be one part of it!
C Six Connect is an amazing non profit that offers job search assistance. They have great networking events and interviewing events with companies. I enjoyed volunteering at some of the career events and networking on the hikes. I found the staff to be extremely professional and supportive of all during the job search process.
This is a great organization that assists people in job searching.
The organization provides thought provoking and inspirational speakers, provides tips to help in the on going job search and organizes practice sessions to interview with recruiters.
When I was not working, I enjoyed attending meetings in Saratoga, hiking with the C Six team in the mornings as well attending the C Six Manufacturing bi monthly meetings to network with people within my professional background.
I would recommend this organization to anyone in the job search mode.
Csix Connect is the best place that we have opportunity to find the best connection, training, also all real job opportunity and leads I ever experienced.
CSIX Connect has helped me find employment in the past and I anticipate that they will help me in the future too.
I've been so fortunate to join this talented and diverse group of people, who's goal is to not lose hope amidst the chaotic world of the "unemployed". I felt so intimidated at first, but everyone is so welcoming and at the end of the day we all know that when one door closes, another door opens. The group inspired me to keep on going because I am not alone.
