Mission: Crosswalk community action agency administers a variety of programs that assist low-income and disadvantaged individuals and families. The intent is to provide services that promote and improve the level of self-sufficiency, while at the same time, addressing day-to-day needs.
Programs: Low income home energy assistance programs-the organization provides eligible applicants with financial assistance on their energy bills. Approximately 5,024 households were served.
community service block grant-this program provides many community services such as economic development through a revolving loan program, financial assistance for educational needs, emergency home repair, commodities for nutrition, free immunizations and other emergency services. Approximately 1,391 individuals received assistance through this grant.
weatherization program-the organization weatherizes homes and installs furnaces for eligible applicants. Approximately 67 households were served during the year.
