Causes: Arts & Culture, Arts & Humanities Councils & Agencies
Mission: An arts and ecology center dedicated to connecting people with nature, art and community.
Programs: Northern michigan small farm conference (nmsfc): day -long annual event for small farmers and homesteaders. Promotes and builds a local agriculture community, equips the small farm community with the tools to be successful, and acts as a forum for exchange of ideas. Also includes the farm school which is a pre-conference to nmsfc.
music education and performance: brings top michigan musicians and songwriters to elementary, middle, and high schools in michigan.
farm and community guilds: provide peer-to-peer learning, mentorship, demonstrations, swapping, bartering, sharing work and celebrating community. Guild members share the strength of many through advocacy, problem solving, collective bargaining, and shared marketing.
