Mission: Crossfire ministries is a compassion ministry dedicated to helping the working poor, under employed, seniors taking care of grandchildren, single parents, military families and the homeless in the pikes peak region. We provide food, clothing, personal hygiene items and household necessities to anyone in need.
Programs: Missions:we gave away 1,080,000 pounds of food to the food insecure in our community. Our services were accessed 96,756 times by 11,737 unique individuals. We gave away 1,292 thanksgiving food boxes.
thrift stores - clothing is our second largest program. We gave away 160,224 pounds of clothes valued at $48,672. All of the clothing that was given away was provided through donation from the community.
other programshousehold items, such as pot and pans, dishes, silverware, small appliances, etc. , valued at $81,289 were given away. These items were also donated by the community. 67,385 personal hygiene items, such as shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, tp, deodorant, etc. , were distributed throughout the year. The value of these items is $31,515. We distributed christmas gifts and items to 1,114 children. Items given away included new and used toys, books, games, blankets, coats and christmas decorations. 974 children received backpacks filled with school supplies. All of our operations are carried out by volunteers with the exception of one paid staff, the executive director. We logged over 40,000 volunteer hours. These hours are valued at $1,038,800 (colorado assigns the value of $25. 97 per volunteer hour). We also gave away approximately 2,500 homemade hats to the homeless, the needy and children during the cold months.
