Mission: Our mission is to empower individuals to make positive change in their lives. We provide services to victim/survivors of domestic and sexual violence, elder abuse, stalking and child abuse, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, income or physical abilities.
Results: Because of recent support from our donors we’ve accomplished the following:
Doubled the number of survivors served this past quarter.
Provided all our shelter guests with the essentials of daily life including blankets, sheets, and clothing.
Given more education presentations within our community on how to prevent violence and abuse before it begins.
Eliminated financial barriers that were holding shelter guests from achieving employment goals.
So far this year guests have spent 2,065 over nights in our shelter. Sadly there are times when the demand still outweighs our capacity. In 2016 we have turned away 175 women and 203 children.
