Mission: To reduce crime and the impact of crime through counseling, advocacy, and prevention education. CVC provides a 24/7 hotline for crime victims, hospital accompaniment, court advocacy, help with victims compensation and restitution, supportive counseling, crisis counseling, community education, and other services throughout Erie County, PA. Counselors available by appointment in offices in Corry, Edinboro, Union City, Girard, and North East.
Results: In 2015, CVC served 853 people who were victims of sexual assault or rape, including 250 children. CVC also served 5,146 victims of other crimes and provided 636 prevention/education programs to 19,572 participants. CVC obtained $121,851.39 in Crime Victims Compensation for 71 claims.
