Mission: The mission of cricket debt counseling, inc. , a tax-exempt nonprofit corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code,is to provide the budget and credit counseling individuals must receive before filing bankruptcy and to promote financial literacy in general as a means of restoring personal responsibility and integrity in the bankruptcy system.
Programs: Cricket debt counseling, inc. ("cricket") has been approved by the u. S. Trustees office to issue certificates in compliance with the bankruptcy code. Cricket has been approved in all jurisdictions. As one of the largest, approved providers of pre-bankruptcy budget and credit education in the united states, cricket provided in excess of 557,701 counseling sessions in 2017. In addition, cricket received donated services in the amount of $84,230 in 2017. In its audited financial statements this amount was reported as revenue according to generally accepted accounting principles.
