Over the past year they have outgrown their space. The reason, they are exceptional at serving the community and providing the classes the community wants. Another reason, the teachers/instructors. The instructors are phenomenal with all students. They motivate the students to want to learn and achieve to the very highest standards. This is exceptionally true of the Ballet Department. Since starting in ballet 2 years ago, the ballet classes have moved to larger space. They again need to move to larger space as the program has grown exponentially. This all goes back to the instructors. Outstanding!

They provide a learning environment for so many children and adults for the North Georgia area. From music; both instrument and song, to art, ballet, book writing...they provide opportunities for all. The staff and instructors are awesome, and have "promoted" so many young adults into a life long journey in the Arts...

For nearly half a century in Dalton and surrounding communities, the Creative Arts Guild has been a highly visible center for engagement with the performing and visual arts, whether through participation, study, or simply enjoyment. Its programs in dance instruction have been especially far-reaching--both of my daughters were enrolled in them, one for the full duration of her elementary and high school years--but the CAG is also noted for its provision of instruction and exhibition opportunities for local painters and sculptors and for its music teaching and performances. It was one of the first local agencies to reach out to the large Latino population which began moving into our area in the early 1990's and to open avenues into their rich cultural heritage for the general public. About the only major area of the arts where the CAG is relatively inactive is theater, but this is already served by two community theaters, each of which has a full season of offerings.

The Creative Arts Guild is beacon of light for Dalton, GA. With festivals and art displays year round, this organization is a huge blessing to the Northwest Georgia area. My wife and I love visiting to see the local artists and the time and effort put into their work. The festival in the fall is a huge hit with thousands of people coming from all over. In addition to all this, the classes that are available make this a wonderful place for your children to learn.

The Creative Arts Guild in Dalton, GA is an amazing venue that gives children and adults a place to create. To externalize the internal into something beautiful whether it is fine arts, gymnastics or dance. Since my introduction to the Guild I have come to understand that artists are not born in the big cities, but in places like the Guild.

I am very impressed with the Creative Arts Guild in Dalton. It is a very nice facility with an excellent staff, and I think it serves an important function in Whitfield County. I had never been there before I was invited to make an appearance as one of the guest authors from Dalton State College, so I didn't know what to expect. The facility is very modern and comfortable, and the Guild offers many interesting programs. I'm sure there's something for everyone, and I look forward to returning to the Guild soon!

The Creative Arts Guild in Dalton is a wonderful resource for the community. With the continuing art exhibits hosted, art education, and special events such as the annual art festival, they continue to focus on the mission of making art, of every type, available to enrich the lives of all who live in the community. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and energetic in all of their activities. The Guild is truly a core component of the Dalton and Whitfield County community.

The Creative Arts Guild in Dalton provides opportunities for area artists to display their work in a number of ways. Their galleries are available to individual artists as well as groups to have month long displays of their work. I have attended the receptions for these shows including the GA wood turners group and Paul Fontana's acrylic painting show and found them very interesting. In addition, the Guild offers exhibit space at their annual Festival to which I have applied this year. I have heard many good things about this show.

The Creative Arts Guild is diligent in expanding its reach into the community, trying to touch as many people as possible with the Arts experience. It is constantly implementing new and innovative programs, such as its recent initiative to integrate arts and learing for young people who need help in achieving their educational goals. It serves as a focal point in the community for drawing together those with an interest in the arts and those who produce art. Its events are always open to the public: yearly Festival, monthly open house to showcase new artists, lunch concert series, dinner concert series and many special events; as well as the classes it offers in music, dance, drawing, sculpting, etc. The staff makes everyone feel welcome.

Dalton's Creative Arts Guild has been and continues to be the "arts central" of this community. it is staffed by knowledgeable and friendly people who are energetic in keeping programs and special events up-to-date and frequent. The yearly Festival in the fall has supplied me and my daughters with numerous Christmas gifts and presents from the artists presenting their work! And monthly First Fridays give publicity to some lesser-known artists and to fairly well-known artists whom we can meet. And these events allow a gathering place for friends to catch up on our busy lives. Go Dalton, Go CAG!

I have had the privilege of participating in the music program as an instructor at the Creative Arts Guild of Dalton, GA.

The many facets that draw people to the guild is extra-ordinary, such as Fiber Arts, Arts in Education, Dance, Art, Music, writing, etc. Many students have had opportunities to learn as well as participate in various programs, whereas they might not had a chance else-where, due to scholarship programs. It would be nice to be able to reinstate the scholarship offerings in the different disciplines.

We have dreamed of expanding our facility so that all disciplines could be under one roof with performance auditorium etc. Due to financial constraints this remains a dream!

The dreams, goals and aims of the Creative Arts Guild is to enrich our community, to attain a knowledge of cultures and break down barriers in understanding the global community in which we live.

The Creative Arts Guild in Dalton continues to be a bright spot in our community and an integral part of our economic deveolopment plan. The new sculpture garden is fun, educatonal and a destination for visitors to Dalton. I have worked with Guild staff on various committees and am impressed with their willingness to share expertise and resources. The Jonas Foundation continues to promote the arts in our area schools with a variety of artists. I have friends whose children dance at the Guild and I hear rave reviews plus I get to see the a quality production of The Snow Queen. I personally do not have an art background but feel welcome at all functons; I expecially enjoyed the Art & Wine series and will participate again. The Guild has a long and proud tradition in Dalton/Whitfield County and the future looks bright for the organization.

As a life-long resident of Dalton, GA, the Creative Arts Guild is certainly a valuable institution in our community. Three generations in my family (including myself) have participated in classes and events at the Guild. It is most impressive that scholarships are often awarded for children who want to participate but can not due to the cost.

To simply say that the Creative Arts Guild is an integral part of Whitfield and surrounding counties wouldn't begin to explain its influence and its levels of support. I was a teacher in the Dalton Public Schools System for 21 years and witnessed the Guild's involvement in the social and cultural lives of my students in the form of art, theater, dance, gymnastics and many more classes that the Guild has offered. After school, the Guild is a beehive of activity for young people.

After retiring from teaching, I began painting and what began as a hobby has become more than a full-time job. So, I've seen firsthand, the Guild's support of local artists through featured exhibitions, and classes, dealing with specific mediums as well as general art education.

As a resident of Whitfield County, I feel fortunate the Guild is concerned with what goes on outside the building: a new sculpture garden, with plans to extend to other parts of the city; cultural events, such as ballet performances, in other city venues; bringing art and artists into local classrooms, as well as encouraging local teachers to have their students participate in artistic exhibitions at the Guild.

I'm proud to be connected to the Creative Arts Guild on so many levels, not the least of which being a member.

As a regional artist, I have participated in many exhibits at the Creative Arts Guild. The annual Festival of the Arts, in particular, is a wonderful event that brings together serious artists and patrons. I have also been a part of various shows when they relate to my primary medium of photography or artistic concerns. Although I live 150 miles away, I feel a strong connection to the Guild. This is because of the people working there. They maintain a high level of professionalism and artistic standards while also being warm and friendly. This is rare in the art world. The Creative Arts Guild is a jewel!

I have been involved with the Creative Arts Guild since moving to Dalton in the early 1970's. At that time I was a little Ballerina. Today I am an active board member. Through the years I have taken dance, music, theater and visual art classes, co-chaired and chaired FESTIVAL, attended countless gallery openings and events and look forward to being a part of the Guild's future. The CAG has provided my family and our community an opportunity to participate in cultural events and programs that would not be available otherwise. Great things are always happening at the CAG!

When we moved to Dalton, we wanted to find a place that would allow us to get involved with the community. Not only were we able to do that, but we have made long lasting friendships with staff and other volunteers. The CAG has also allowed for our home school child to discover the arts in a way that would not be possible if we did not have the programs that they offer to children in Dalton. We are so lucky to have this organization in our community and will forever be grateful to the staff, board members, and wonderful volunteers for all that they do!

The Dalton Creative Arts Guild is the most individualized arts program available in Northwest Georgia! They provide a wide range of opportunities led by talented, hard working individuals. Both of my children have been attending for piano and guitar lessons as well as performance opportunities. We need the Creative Arts Guild to continue to be the beacon they are to the almost completely uncultured area. We cannot afford to drive up to Chattanooga on a regular basis! Please support this wonderful program!

The Creative Arts Guild is crucial to the development of the arts in Northwest Georgia. Every age from toddlers to senior citizens can and do benefit from their contributions to our community. As a parent, they have provided learning opportunities for my children in music and dance that are second to none. As an artist, they have provided me with encouragement, confidence, a venue at which to show my art, and considerable help in promoting my art. The Creative Arts Guild has put me in contact with other artists from all fields and all walks of life. Networking through "the guild" is priceless.

The Creative Arts Guild in Dalton is our community's organization for the arts. The Guild contributes to the cultural vitality of this community in so many ways -- offering day and evening classes in art, music and dance, hosting music performances that expose local residents to a wide variety of musical genres, hosting monthly gallery exhibits and engaging with other gallery venues to host "Gallery Hops" with free shuttle service again offering North Georgians broad exposure to a vast number of artistic expressions, sponsoring a weekend-long Festival each fall that is a joyous celebration of the arts. There is hardly a soul in this part of the state who has not been touched in one way or another by the long arm of The Creative Arts Guild. Located smack dab in the center of town, the Guild is truly the heart of this community and we are all so much richer for having it here!
