Wonderful group of dedicated individuals working to support our areas families and their children and adults who experience disabilities. Staff is always welcoming, supportive and eager to help. They are open to developing new programs when there is a need. Have particularly liked they way they are helping to make our local school district become more inclusive and family friendly.

Causes: Human Services, Personal Social Services
Mission: Creating Opportunities is the only cross-disability organization focused on building connections between families and their communities exclusively in Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties. We are working to expand outreach and support to families, professionals and community members throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley Region. Equipped with information and support received through Creating Opportunities, families will access needed resources, champion the empowerment of other families and enjoy full lives as active members of their local community. We encourage families to celebrate their child’s strengths while acquiring knowledge and taking action.
Target demographics: People who experience disabilities and their families.
Geographic areas served: Marion, Polk, and Yamhill Counties
Programs: Youth Advocacy programs, person-centered planning meetings, Parent Leadership Training, Kids community activities, Self-Care trainings, and our Strengthening Marriages series.
