I love going to watch shows performed by CRE Outreach members. There are different groups that perform shows, including people with unique life challenges such as being blind or autistic. Each show leaves me feeling inspired beyond belief. Watching people overcome obstacles that I can't really relate to...leaves me wanting to do more good in the world. The people usually share their stories at the end of the shows. It is awesome to hear what CRE Outreach has done for the members' personal lives. It's lovely to see the way CRE has provided a purpose for people to gather in community, create, and share stories through the performing arts. I highly recommend!
This is an incredible charity that's helps challenged individuals have a voice. It also help to builds self confidence in its actor.
Building self confidence helps them to get thru their day to day difficulties.
THE PRODUCTIONS ARE A MUST SEE!!!!
Hey everybody, this is Matthew Saracho. I was born blind and diagnosed with miled autism at 4 years-old. However, that hasn't held me back from living life to its fullest. I'm an actor in #TheatreByTheBlind. We're one of the only acting troupes in America, with all blind or visually impaired actors/actresses. This program is part of CRE Outreach, and helps blind/visually impaired individuals express themselves in a safe space. We learn our way around a stage by using mats, so none of us have to worry about falling and getting hurt. Every play we produce is all improvised and well-written after our ideas have been organized. I am also a board member for CRE Outreach. In addition to Theatre by the Blind, CRE provides a theatre program for military veterans, a music program for people of all disabilities, as well as music and arts programs for under-served youth. I believe this charity should definitely be noticed. With all the negativity and injustice surrounding our country, our state, our city, people need a ray of hope in these trying times. We all need something to inspire us to be our best. I believe, deep down in my heart, when the public notices us, they will stop and think twice, and change their view. They will look at our strengths, and focus very little upon our weaknesses or conditions.
