We just adopted our 2nd pup from CCPAL, just over 3 months ago. Both times we have dealt with them, they have been absolutely pleasant and willing to assist you and answer all of your questions. Their prices are very reasonable and the shipping people are always great to deal with. Both pups we have rescued from CCPAL have been fantastic, and fit right into our family. This is a testament to CCPAL's level of commitment to putting up as accurate of a profile of their pups, as they can. I have recommended them to several friends, and will continue to recommend them. Thank you to CCPAL for our families increased happiness thanks to our wonderful additions.
CCPAL is an excellent organization! When my senior dog died in January of 2023, my beagle and my family felt the loss. A few months later, I came across a post about a sweet gray/brown puppy and immediately knew he would be a great fit for our family. Alice and the entire CCPAL team was thorough and extremely helpful in making the transition to adopting Martin (previously Oslo). I will always recommend CCPAL & am grateful for their kindness!
I love my baby, Biscuit! Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League brought her to me on Dec. 15, 2024. We just recently celebrated her 1 year adoption birthday! Biscuit is such a little love! She sleeps every night cuddled next to me on our bed, since our very first night together. Biscuit and I spend almost all of our time together. She loves to go walking and to play at dog parks. She is the most loving and devoted dog. Thank you CCPAL so much for caring for her until I could find her. I am so grateful everyday that you saved her for me!!!
My husband and I have been trying to rescue a giant breed dog for a while; it felt like there was always some kind of big delay in getting to meet the dogs we were interested in. We came across CCPAL, and they not only were so responsive, but also so kind and thorough. Getting to rescue our two cuties from CCPAL, felt like we got to add more love to our home by contributing to a wholesome, amazing organization. Sheila is an amazing person, who cares about all dogs and their future homes/owners. Thank you to everyone who helped us find our amazing puppies!!
We adopted our first dog Panda from CCPAL. Panda turned out to be the most loving dog and we couldn’t have asked for a better addition to our family. Marlene and CCPAL folks took such good care of Panda and we can’t thank them enough to have taken Panda in, so that we could adopt her to our family. They are the best!
We adopted our first rescue from CCPAL almost five years ago, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The compassion and dedication this rescue has for animals are truly unmatched. We even flew from New York to Texas to visit the rescue in person! The team at CCPAL made the process seamless and gave us the perfect addition to our family.
Now, years later, we’re in the process of adopting our second dog through CCPAL and their amazing transport team, and it feels just as exciting as the first time. It’s incredible to see that even after all these years, they remain top-notch in their mission and care for animals. We’re so grateful to CCPAL for everything they do and can’t wait to meet our newest family member soon. If you’re considering adoption, this is the place to go!
CCPAL is first rate. I have had many pups find their forever homes through this amazing rescue. From taking in strays, dogs from area pounds, and dogs abandoned in their homes, CCPAL has helped find homes for every pup I have brought to them. Their Facebook page advertising each pup is fantastic. Their volunteer videos and takes pictures of each dog, writes an amazing review and also assists in scheduling transport across the US. They ensure each and every pup is vaccinated, spayed or neutered.
We couldn't find a dog in our area, but saw the photo of Bella on line and fell in love with her. Adoption was easy and quickly handled, and then we just had to wait for her to come up from Texas. Bella was well worth the wait!!!
I adopted my little Boomer ( originally Caleb) from CCPAL. He turned 4 yrs old 12/23! He isn't so little anymore...75 lbs now. He was our rescue out of Texas to WA. State. Love at 1st sight. CCPAL made this possible! Boomer and his sibs all found homes, and got to live their...happily ever after. He's the sweetest boy ever ❤️ Thanks CCPAL!
We have been had the very fortunate experience to have adopted four beautiful, funny, smart, soulful, and loving babies from CCPAL (i.e., Pauly, Coopy, Gia, and Bleu Lang). They have been the great start of our days , and have provided great comfort when we needed it most. CCPAL are our family in Texas who we are honored, privileged, and feel very fortunate to know. Their dedication to their pets and adoptees is truly amazing and we absolutely love all the folks there: Alice, Marlene, Colin, Victoria, Holly, Sam, Steve, and all the folks there who make one place on this earth worth all the oil in Texas. God bless them all.
FANTASTIC! Cannot say enough good things! Zoey is absolutely blessing in disguise and couldn’t have happened without CCPAL.
A huge thank you to Marlene and CCPAL for being the only organization in Texas to help
me with Jax, a dog that was surrendered to me by neighbors that neglected him and dumped him before we intervened and got him out of the environment. We networked Jax for over 2 months trying to get this angel placed and in doing so, I called over 80 places and all said No! We can’t help we are too full or good luck trying to place a black pitbull or it’s the summer, no one adopts during the summer but not Marlene!!! She said if he is fully vetted and you can arrange transport to us we can help you. Our goal was to get him adopted out and go to the rescue as a last resort but she stayed in communication with me rooting us on in our efforts.
When everyone else closed a door and said “we won’t or we can’t” Marlene figured out how to open a window and let us in.
Thank you Marlene and CCPAL for restoring my faith in humanity.
Jax is in good hands at the rescue and we can only hope that an amazing family will find him and rescue him.
Without Marlene’s help, Jax would be among the hundreds that needlessly get euthanized in Texas daily for space or because no one cares enough to advocate for those that can’t do it for themselves!!
Ana on Behalf of Jax
We adopted our boy, Fredo, from CCPAL almost five years ago and the process was smooth. The communication with the organization was great and we absolutely adore him! CCPAL made all of the transportation arrangements out to the west coast. We love this rescue and our boy!
My family adopted a wonderful dog with ccpal and it couldn’t have been a better experience. They responded within a day to our inquiry through petfinder. They gave timely responses to questions throughout the process, contacted our references and approved us for adoption within several days. They were accommodating throughout the process, and it was evident that our new family member had been well cared for during her time with ccpal.
We adopted our Lily, known before as Aspen in November 2023. She came to us from CCPAL in Texas via Olympia, WA. Lily is a precious little girl and we love her very much. CCPAL did a wonderful job after her rescue by house breaking her and teaching her to use a doggy door. Thank you so much for training her and for doing such a great job of socializing her!
CCPAL Rescue is an absolute GEM in the world of dog rescues, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the wonderful experience we had adopting Serenity. After losing my childhood dog of 15 years, I came across CCPAL Rescue during our search for a new family member. Serenity, a deaf and partially sighted sweetheart, captured my heart through the compelling videos and pictures that CCPAL shared and I knew she was my heart dog.
The rescue's dedication to transparency shines through their detailed summaries about each pup in their care. Despite being in a different state, CCPAL's thoughtful videos and pictures made us feel an immediate connection, prompting us to apply to adopt Serenity. The adoption process was seamless, with an incredibly detailed application and a kind-hearted volunteer who ensured it was a perfect fit.
The transport process was easy, and CCPAL's considerate guidance eased our anticipation. Serenity arrived, and we couldn't have asked for a sweeter pup. It's evident that everyone involved in helping dogs like Serenity find their forever homes is genuinely caring and dedicated.
Even after the adoption, CCPAL has continued to support us and checked in on how Serenity is doing in her new home. Their commitment to the long-term well-being of the dogs they rescue is amazing! Serenity waited patiently for almost two years, and CCPAL never gave up on her – a testament to their unwavering dedication to making sure each pup find their forever family.
I am forever grateful to every staff member and volunteer at CCPAL Rescue for making it possible for us to welcome Serenity into our lives. Our angel pup has found her forever home, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you, CCPAL, for your incredible work and for bringing joy to both dogs and their adoptive families. ❤️
We adopted our sweet little terrier boy, Alfie, from CCPAL in July 2022 and were impressed from start to finish with the kindness and professionalism of the CCPAL folks we dealt with. They helped us adopt just the right dog for us from halfway across the country, and everything went so smoothly. The CCPAL folks understand dogs and their needs, and they are brilliant at matching them with their forever families. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
There have been many abandoned pups that a friend and I have rescued personally and reached out to many rescues for help and this rescue was the only one out of many that helped us and all found amazing homes. For the compassion and endless help, I decided to become a volunteer with this non profit 501c and will forever be grateful to them.

What a great rescue CCPAL is! They have wonderful dedicated volunteers who all go beyond expectations to care for these well deserving pups that come into rescue until their perfect family is found. I appreciate everyone for being an advocate and their dedication to seeing all these pups have a chance for their happily ever after. The hands on care from Marlene, Teri, Troy, and care handlers to the exceptional videos and photoshoots so potential adopters can really see the pups in action, to the process of doing background checks and references to try to make sure adopter and pup are a great match, to the behind the scenes of volunteers around the world posting on multiple sites, and making sure all inquirers questions are answered in a timely manner, to the transportation reservations being sent to adopters in plenty of time to get them prepared for their new family addition, to transporters getting precious cargo (pups) safely to their final destinations. Thank you CCPAL for your hard work and dedication ❤️
I had the pleasure of adopting 2 dogs from this organization. Hope came into our home originally as a foster but I fell in love with her and we adopted her & of course our Polar bear Dallas. This organization goes above and beyond to save as many fur babies as they possibly can.
My husband and I adopted a wonderful puppy from CCPAL. We had the best experience and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone interested in adopting a new addition to your family. Thank you.
We adopted Billie from CCPAL in November of 2023. The entire process of adopting through CCPAL was a breeze. After researching online, I chose this adoption agency as I got the feel they really care for each & every dog. I specifically worked with Clarissa & Alice through the adoption process and both were such a pleasure to work with despite the fact I asked tons of questions. While i don't know the name of the individual who fostered our Billie boy before he was adopted and transported up to Connecticut, I would also like to thank them for opening their home & heart.
Billie went to his first vet appointment about 2 weeks after coming home and had no health issues.
I would recommend CCPAL to anyone without hesitation.
I have been working with Marleen and her team (John, Alice, Clarissa, and Shelia) Since Novemer with a litter of ten puppies born September 25th that I fostered while CCPAL worked hard to find them forever homes. I'm happy to anounce all of them have been adopted. Marleen and John have worked with me every step of the way to make sure they got their shots, chipped, fixed, and had everything needed. (Extra bowls, fencing, food, and toys. I appreciate this group so much. I decided to keep Mama. I couldn't of done any of this without CCPAL and will be forever greatful. If you are looking to donate, volunteer, foster or adopt I recommend you check them out. Saving lives puppies, dogs, and humans through companionship, and love.
CCPAL is the most amazing organization, with the most kind, devoted staff one could possibly imagine. We recently adopted our pup, Herbie, from CCPAL, and I can't stop talking to everyone I know about how amazing the folks who helped us adopt him are. They provide such excellent care for animals who would otherwise be abandoned (or worse!), and they take great measures to ensure that all of their animals go to loving homes - including transporting pets all across the entire United States! More over, CCPAL was much more affordable than other rescues, making it possible to bring this wonderful pup into our family. I am so grateful for all of the help and conversations with Clarissa and Alice, and all of the CCPAL staff and volunteers. You all are angels on earth!
We adopted our Chiweenie (Finley) back in October, 2020 and can’t rave enough about Marlene and the entire CCPAL operation. They are very conscientious about their animals and take great care to find them good homes. Their background check process was very thorough. As empty nesters, we’re very lucky to have Finley in our lives. We’re approaching his 3rd BDay and he brings joy to us daily. He’s the ultimate lap dog and is a huge fan of blankets and warm laundry out of the drier. We always had big dogs and never thought we’d have a small one; but never discount something new that can be special and make a difference. Again, thx to the entire CCPAL crew for all their efforts on behalf of animals in need.
Jeff and Kathy French
I’m so grateful for rescues like CCPAL that are rescuing dogs that could have been considered unadoptable or euthanized. I adopted my pup Ghost from CCPAL in December 2022. He arrived extremely timid and scared of every person he saw, and it was pretty evident he dealt with some level of abuse in the past. It took time to gain his trust but the amount of growth he’s had in the last couple of months are extraordinary and I’m so happy that he’s grown to accept me as his human companion. He’s blossoming into a sweet, gentle, affectionate dog with a need for speed-he’s agile and a runner! Thank you CCPAL for rescuing him and providing opportunities for other adopters to care for these amazing dogs.
I love CCPAL and the work they do for the pups they save.
I have seen first-hand that CCPAL is run by caring and dedicated volunteers, so we know our donations are going to a very worthwhile cause.
I am in awe of Cowboy Capital Pet Assistance League. I do not know how they do such a fantastic job finding homes for as many dogs as they do. They are caring and concerned for all there rescues. Their diligence in finding safe and loving homes in such a short time frame is beyond my imagination. I can personally attest as I am the lucky receipient of one of their sweet rescues. Their transport system was seamless and timely. I was kept informed throughout the process. I can't say enough good things about them.
In December 2022 I adopted Piper (Allison) from CCPAL. They were absolutely wonderful and made the whole process easy. I highly recommend.
I have fostered a few dogs in Portland for CCPAL as they were on their way to their forever homes, CCPAL really knows and loves their dogs. This time I was adopting to add a third pup to my own crew and Alice (the owner) knew exactly which dog would fit with our pack.
Bailey is sweet, smart, goofy and we love her very much.
CCPAL communicates and answers every question you have, and they also ensure you are a good fit for the pup as well.
CCPAL is full of warm-hearted, helpful people who truly love the animals they rescue. We adopted Poppy in Oct 2022 and she is an amazing pup! Questions were responded to quickly and when we hit a snag in the adoption process, CCPAL went above and beyond to remedy the situation quickly.
I would recommend CCPAL to anyone - I'm in the Seattle area and you could tell the transport service that CCPAL uses also deeply cares for the well-being of the animals.
Warm fuzzies all around!!!
From the start these people were amazing to work with! Even after everything takes place - they still are there checking in and making sure everything is good. They truly care about the animals they find furever homes for. Would use them again when the time comes!
We adopted Cisco, now Dapper in early November. We are from New Jersey. I was researching and chose CCPAL. The process was so easy and thorough. Can I just tell you. We are so madly in love with Dapper. He is so fun and happy. We are a perfect match
We often say, who rescued who. We had lost our previous rescue after 9 years. Dapper has filled our hearts and has the best life ever. He is just so perfect
Thank you all for what you do. Continue the good work.
My husband and I had a GREAT experience with CCPAL. After our dog passed away, we knew we wanted another dog and this time decided to adopt a rescue. After reading about his past - rescued from a high kill shelter- and seeing his picture and a short video, I fell in love with a Chiweenie puppy named Johnny (now Archie). After filling out the required paperwork, CCPAL contacted me quickly and helped make the process very easy. They offered to send me photos and kept me updated until the day he was transported to us in Connecticut. So happy to have our sweet little Archie!
CCPAL was outstanding to work with! The whole process was easy & everyone was super friendly. The updates & communication was more than I had hoped for. Thank you for doing what you do! I love my little Frankie! She makes a great addition to our family. I will definitely consider using them again in the future.
CCPAL was the foster care site that we got our current dog from. They were very good in working with me when we decided to purchase our puppy from them, kept me informed during the whole process, including what to expect, any veterinary visits, and the transportation scenario. They were helpful in sending videos of the puppy we chose and sent us pictures of her when she was on her way up to Washington State. They were very helpful with all the aspects during the whole time from our adoption until our dog made it here to her forever home.
CCPAL is just anazing!!! Our three-year-old pointer/lab, Diesel, was constantly watching the 2 dogs across the street from our home play all the time. We felt he was sad since he lost his brother, Rocky, and felt we really should get him a friend. We started looking for a local rescue to adopt a puppy. We just ran into roadblocks everywhere and no one would help us. Puppies were getting adopted before we could get our application in. My friend Liz told me about CCPAL and we were able to find our little boy, Axel. He came all the way from Texas to Pennsylvania to be with us. He has been a joy to our family and a best friend to our Diesel. We love him so much and are so grateful to CCPAL for bringing him to us. They were so helpful and even kept sending me pictures of him.. They are a wonderful organization and we would work with them again.
We are from NH and found CCPAL online. We saw Daisy (originally Genesis) and fell in love. CCPAL gave great instructions and training tips. Pick up was smooth and communication was great! Daisy made our house her home real fast. She’s loving the snow and long walks no matter how cold! She is family and we love her!
I am waiting for my dog to be spayed and then transported from Texas to Connecticut. Every person that works - or should I say volunteers for this organization is incredible. They give you unconditional time answering questions, guiding you through the process of adopting. I cannot say enough about this organization- I am so excited and nervous to get my dog and they have all been there for me.
I recently adopted Spirit from CCPal. I am in NJ and they are in Texas. You'd think the process would have been difficult but it was very easy and as if I adopted her locally. Everyone has been so caring and careful to ensure the dog went to a good home. The transport service they use are excellent as well. I can't say enough good things about this rescue!
We are from New Hampshire and we found CCPAL online and that’s how we found our little Rooney! Everyone at CCPAL is just outstanding! They followed up with you quickly and were all so friendly! Every step of the way between reviewing adoption application to transport, they were updating and informing you. They also provide you a little packet with your pets’ information, which is great for my vet visit.
I can’t thank them enough for doing what they do and having us able to adopt such a love bug of a pup! We love Rooney to bits and he is just fitting so well in our family; like a missing puzzle piece.
We highly recommend adopting your next little fur baby from them!
When I saw Cleo (now Chloe) online, I knew she was destined to be my pup.
The process of filling out the adoption forms online was relatively easy, and a few questions that I had were answered promptly.
I have another adopted dog, a 4 year old male Chiweenie, from Tennessee, and the two of them are getting to know each other. Chloe is a big Baby, and teething. She's learned how to use the stairs, and knows to go out to pee, etc. There are still occasional accidents, but she's getting better every day. Having another dog seems to remind her that she needs to go out.
The pickup in Brattleboro, VT went smoothly.
And she's now a resident of New Hampshire! Thanks to all who made it possible.
Cannot say enough how much we appreciate CCPAL! We had been looking for a new pup to add into our family. We found Kona (formally Bruce Lee) on the ASPCA website for local shelters. When I emailed them, and filled out the application, they quickly responded and got the ball rolling. Within 2 weeks, Kona was up here and acclimating to life as a Washington dog, living on a military base. Everyone that I have interacted with has been so genuine and caring. The entire transporting process was laid out in detailed emails, and made so easy. Words alone cannot express my appreciation for everyone who helped Kona be apart of our family.
Our precious Prudence Was brought to us from this wonderful organization. She is on the right next to her former buddy, Lloyd. Thanks does not seem like enough as Prudence has been such a delight. I can’t believe it’s 5 years!
I've worked with CCPAL through two dog adoptions. One dates back a few years, when I got sweet little Tillie Bug. Then, like potato chips I could not have just one dog, I had to get another and found Holly Berry (Christmas Present to me!) CCPAL responded quickly to my initial application and because Tillie Bug was a bit of a "older dog situation", Alice was able to send me lots more info and videos of her behavior and even how to make "canned" food out of dry food. Lots of emails and phone calls later, Alice arranged for Tillie to be flown from TX to PA due to the nervous nature of Little Tillie. She arrived in a PA snowstorm and has been a little peach ever since! Then came Holly, a bigger, younger dog that came via transport. She was a "teenage" Mama prior to coming to me and has been a light in my home since! The folks at CCPAL, go above and beyond, I can't express my thanks in any other way that to say You Are the Best and to say you are truly caring and loving people!
Great people doing great work! CCPAL is a rescue that puts their heart in their work. We’ve adopted four beautiful babies from CCPAL and they’re the best thing to ever happen to us! CCPAL are truly the better angels of our nature.

CCPAL has been a huge part of our lives for the past five years. We’ve adopted three beautiful dogs and had another adopted by our extended family. The love and dedication CCPAL has and shows for the charges in their care is truly amazing. Our babies may have had a rough start but CCPAL gave them the care, attention and most importantly, love to help them overcome the challenges. And that is why CCPAL is so special. They persevere to help those animals who would otherwise know only hardship. CCPAL are truly the “better angels of our nature”.
We heart CCPAL! After nearly a year of conversations, our landlord gave my wife and I the go-ahead to adopt a dog and we got right to trying to make this happen. We applied online to adopt Dixie on Christmas Eve 2020. I don’t think we would have adopted a dog from Texas (we live in NY) without seeing the video CCPAL had posted about Dixie where we could see how lovable she was! From the video we could also see how the CCPAL team really gets to know what is special about each dog and how much care they give their dogs. The CCPAL team started reaching out to us about our application two days after we applied (and did I mention we applied on Xmas Eve?). By the next day, they'd talked to our references and landlord and us. We heard about how Dixie and her mom and litter-mates had all been rescued from a hoarding situation. We made a plan to adopt Dixie. We just could not wait to meet her, so we called back to ask if there was any way she could be transported to us sooner. CCPAL amazingly made this happen, so we got to meet Dixie a couple weeks earlier! The CCPAL team were super responsive to questions we had as we were preparing for Dixie’s arrival, like about what size crate to buy. They gave us very clear guidance on meeting Dixie’s transporters (another organization, who are also awesome!) and tips on things like housetraining and making sure we kept Dixie warm when she got up here. Maybe knowing how excited we were to meet Dixie, they even sent us a video of another dog that also featured Dixie. When we met Dixie (whom we now call Trixie) and over our four weeks with her, it’s clear just how much love she got from the CCPAL team. She was mostly wee-pad trained by the time she came to us. Dixie/Trixie has brought so much joy into our lives and we can’t recommend CCPAL highly enough!
Our experience with this rescue was fabulous. I live in Quebec Canada and when I was shown Reese's picture it was love at first sight. I really appreciated their vetting style. They asked many questions, wanted references and called my vet. I only wish they did that where I live.
It is so important babies get into loving homes. My girl was transported all the way from Texas to Vermont where she was picked up by a good friend of mine and brought to the USA, Canadian border to meet me. The exchange was made made easy by the kind border staff. She was very timid at first but has gained her confidence and is a great friend to her older sister Teagan. She loves playing in the leaves, water, snow and loves people and other dogs. Not a mean bone in her body. I am so glad I was chosen to bring her into ours lives. Thank you .
We got our pup Tino a couple months ago and CCPAL has been amazing every step of the way! They were extremely responsive in the beginning stages which was a contrast from other rescues we had previously been interested in, and once we adopted Tino, they are still responsive to this day. An amazing rescue, we can’t thank them enough for bringing our best friend into our lives!
We adopted Hazel (formerly Comanche) back in September. CCPAL made the process so easy & we can’t say enough good things about them. They were very responsive & it really made the process seamless. This was the first rescue that was coming from TX directly to us. Hazel immediately fit right in with her puppy sisters. She honestly is the sweetest pup & we can’t imagine life without her! Thank you CCPAL for everything you do!
After a long search, we were so happy to have found our new puppy with CCPAL. At first we were hesitant to adopt from far away, but the volunteers were patient and attentive with all our questions, and have been supportive throughout the whole process. Our puppy arrived healthy and well socialized. You could tell she had spent lots of time with people and other dogs. I'm so grateful for the wonderful work these folks are doing!
Sandra and Alice of CCPAL were tremendously helpful in making it possible for us to adopt these two sweet brothers.. The process was seamless but they did their due diligence to be sure that their charges ended up in a home that understood the responsibilities of having pets in the family. We are thrilled that Finn and Dio (formerly Austin and Hondo) have come to be members of the Wilson family!
We were lucky to be picked to adopt our Lucy and get her home to Colorado!!! So grateful and thankful for CCPAL!!!
Adopted my rescue dog, Charlie from them. Very great experience since this was my first rescue dog. They were helpful with answering questions before he arrived and also after pick up. Thank you Texas from Maine
Nov. 2019 we adopted Jack. We were extremely nervous about the situation, we never adopted a rescue, and living in Wis. Jack was coming from a far and we didn’t get to meet him. CCPAL was great, they answered many questions, very organized and the people that delivered Jack were just as kind. Jack met his little sister Bella as soon as he got into our car. We hike, camp with the dogs/ horses, take many car trips and kayak . Jack has been a true blessing for us and we thank CCPAL again for the great work they did for a smooth transition.
My husband & I started the process of looking for another dog to add to our family and knew we wanted to adopt if possible. Our local adoption agency rarely has dogs so we started looking elsewhere. CCPAL was incredibly responsive and helpful. You can tell their dogs are well taken care of and that they are passionate about what they do. It took a few months, but we were matched up with a dog and from there the whole process was smooth. I appreciate that they take the time to get to know you a little bit and check references so that they can ensure the pups are going to good homes! We couldn't image life without our little lovebug. She is so cuddly, sweet, and fit into our family perfectly.
Everyday I’m so grateful to have adopted from CCPAL! They helped me find my new best friend, in the easiest way possible. They connected with me quickly after my application to adopt Scooter, and they did such an amazing job caring for him!
During transport to me from Texas to Washington, Scooter developed a runny nose and they connected with me INSTANTLY and overnighted anti biotics and checked on him to make sure he was taken care of.
They are so compassionate and great at what they do! If I decide to rescue another little angel, I will definitely go through them!
Woof-Woof! CCPAL is where you will want to get your next fur baby from ! It is the organization that you will want to volunteer with and to donate money and /or other resources to ! Why? CCPAL genuinely cares about the dogs they take in and their thoughtful placement of each and every animal is what they are great at! They sometimes have to hold onto the dogs a long time until the perfect human/dog match can be found. It's totally awesome to witness this behind the scenes and as volunteers, we do.
Not only do we volunteer with this organization, but CCPAL is where we got our dog from about three years ago. (big smiley face!) He had been hit by a car and had some leg/foot issues that they were working with a local vet to heal. During our search, we were so lucky they really listened to what kind of dog we wanted and matched us to one that was still in the process of healing and not even available yet.
We feel like we have the best dog in the world but we realize that there are probably a lot of other families who have adopted from CCPAL and feel the exact same way about their fur baby. If you are looking for a dog, CCPAL is your go-to. They transport dogs to many areas of the US and Canada! If you are not looking to increase your family size right now, you might just consider a donation as they are really and truly helping the doggies!
I volunteer with CCPAL Rescue remotely, all the way from Canada! Having adopted from Texas myself, I already had so much respect and admiration for what this organization works so hard to do, and I was honoured and excited to become a part of it. The individuals at CCPAL work tirelessly to care for the animals they rescue, and their great rewards come from the photos of the adopted pets living dream lives as beloved family members all over the United States and Canada. They make magic happen each and every time a once homeless pet lights up the life of the person or family that falls completely in love with it. Their joy is contagious and it is a privilege to be a part of these dreams coming true!
I got my dog from CCPAL and we couldn't have had a better experience.
They had a very detailed description of my pup's personality that was dead on.
They pulled our dog from a local shelter that euthanizes due to overcrowding.
We are so happy to have found this organization and that they saved our sweet pup.
I can't speak highly enough about CCPAL. Their application was thorough and diligent (as you would hope) but at the same time they were very efficient. I was looking to adopt in time to surprise my son for his birthday and only had a few days to make it happen. (We do not live in Texas but he found the puppy online, which in itself is pretty cool!) They did a remarkable job of processing my application, approving it, and facilitating picking up the puppy in perfect time for the surprise. They really jumped through hoops to make it happen and the outcome was perfect. My son LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his puppy and he is the perfect addition to our household. He is the cutest guy in the world with an awesome personality ... it was simply meant to be and we owe it all to CCPAL. The post-adoption follow-up has been great, too. They stay in touch with us, and we with them, and we really were made to feel like a welcome part of the CCPAL family. Thank you to Sandra, Alice, and all the folks at CCPAL!
We adopted Barkley in March 2018 From CCPAL. He arrived here in Washington State May 3 2018. I first saw him on Adopt A Pet, fell in love with him and knew he belonged here with us. The communication with them was great during the course of the adoption and all ran smooth to get him here. The staff were so good to work with. Barkley has been such a wonderful addition to our house and he has the sweetest, most affectionate personality.
I first found CCPAL through a listing they had for a Husky (Parker). I had two already and was looking to add a third. I was particular in what I was looking for as I had to ensure that they would fit into my pack. Not all rescues are the same and you truly have to experience the bad before you know what is good. I was so glad I found CCPAL. After filling out the adoption paperwork and speaking with a few team members, they decided that my home would be a good fit. Unfortunately, just before transport, Parker escaped the enclosure and was never found. All CCPAL members were heartbroken as they desperately tried to find him. Afterwards, they made it their mission to find the perfect new addition for me. I must say, they were successful. They found Ranger in a shelter, and after speaking with the shelter representative, Rachel, they started the process of evaluating him to ensure he would be a good fit. I couldn't be happier with my little cuddle-bug. He plays with my other two wonderfully and we have started sledding for fun. I will eventually adding a fourth pack member and I will be looking to CCPAL for assistance in making that happen. They truly care about placing their dogs in the perfect home. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new fur baby to add to their family.
We had a wonderful experience in working with CCPAL when looking for a dog to adopt. I happened to see a dog I was interested in on a pet-finder website and we immediately contacted them to see if the dog we wanted was still available. She was, so we provided some references that they contacted and set up a phone call to discuss if the dog was the right fit for us. We know they called our references and they had good questions to make sure it was a good fit, they definitely did their due dilligence. The transportation to get the dog from Texas to us all of the way to Washington did a great job and provided updates along the way. We've provided updates on how she is doing, and they are always interested and excited that our dog has found such a loving home. We are so thrilled to have worked with CCPAL and would again in a heartbeat.
CCPAL was amazing! I was looking for a puppy and came across them. They were efficient and helpful when it came to adopting "Cap". They sent her to me healthy and happy and very cuddly. I am so grateful to them for letting my adopt my best friend! I am constantly talking about where I got her from because she loves meeting people and is super friendly with other animals and I think CCPAL is to thank for that! I was truely amazed with them and the fact that they were able to get her to me in New York from Texas! Thank you CCPAL!
We adopted Ranger from CCPAL in March 2018. He’s been the best dog!! We had an easy adoption process considering they’re in Texas and we’re in Washington state.
I have helped CCPAL in the capacity of a volunteer in adoption for 2.5 years. They are hard working and dedicated to the animals they save for life. I love them and cannot say enough about the dogs they adopt out or the heart they have for what they do. I foster for them and I love it!! Everything they do is for the dogs!! I have adopted 2 dogs as well They are AMAZING and I am happy to have them in my life!! Cheers to the CCPAL Team.
