Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: Provide an opportunity for county commissioners across the state of missouri to form an interactive and professional relationship and better understand the powers and duties of their office.
Programs: Annually a training conference is held for all elected county commissioners. This conference is to allow commissioners to fulfill their requirement to complete 20 hours of in-service training to maintain their certification. The annual training seminar is videotaped and available for purchase by county commissioners who were unable to attend the live conference. Viewing of the video tape also qualifies commissioners for their in-service training requirement.
the association provides a government liaison who monitors legislative activity that may impact county government and/or county commissioner's responsibilities. This information is disseminated to the members for educational purposes.
