Programs: Medicaid provides funds to assist elderly and low income citizens to remain independent by providing custodial and basic medical needs to the person in their home. Provided 474,904 personal care units, 475,457 homemaker units, and 3,067 traumatic brain injury units.
title iii program provide social services and nutritional services to senior citizens funded through a mixture of federal and state grants as well as program income. Provided 9,976 congregate meals, 28,091 home delivered meals, 314 units of evidence based fitness, 1,202 units of in-home respite, and 6,034 units of transportation.
the lighthouse program provides in-home assistance for seniors who do not qualify for other programs. The fair program provides relief to caregiver who care for individuals with dementia and alzheimer's disease. Provided 14,327 units of lighthouse and 3,415 units of fair.
life program which subsidizes the senior center and activities (477 units of nutrition education) 5310 grant used for medical/special transport. Benefit counseling/mippa which helps older individuals understand their rights under the social security act, medicaid, supplement social security programs and general insurance policies. Dots training for caregivers of individuals with dementia.
