I worked with Council for Unity as an intern for several weeks and I found the experience to be truly phenomenal. Besides enhancing my experience with helping youth, I learned a wealth of other important skills. This Organization was well organized and sincerely adamant about living up to its mission statement (to empower young people, individuals, and groups with the skills necessary to promote unity, safety, and achievement in schools and communities). It was a relief to be surrounded by a staff that systematically went the extra-mile to save youth from going down the wrong path, since working with youth has always been an activity I was involved in for quite some time.
