I have been volunteering with CIVIC for a few years and find it incredibly fun and rewarding. CIVIC invites delegations from around the world through the United States Department of State. Delegation topics range from education to human rights, disabilities, farming, technology, journalism and much more.
As volunteer I have escorted delegations to programs, lectures and tours. Not only do I learn from the delegates from around the world, I've gained a lot from the programs, tours and lectures as well.
I have also hosted several dinners for delegations - which has been absolutely delightful.
I enjoy the CIVIC Community and other volunteers and have only had exceptional experiences working with CIVIC.
CIVIC is hands down my favorite volunteer 'gig' in Iowa City.
