Causes: Arts & Culture, Film & Video
Mission: Coruway film institute's mission is to educate the public in the process of creating media about people on the edges of society.
Programs: In 2016 we created media that educated students on issues of opiate use and abuse. Our programs were shown to students in direct audiences of approximately 1,000 and through youtube, approximately 5,000.
in 2016 we presented lecture and discussions on smart growth in the small urban center of portsmouth, nh in conjunction with portsmouth smart growth for the 21st century (ps21. Org). Approximately 400 people attended public discussions, lectures and a charrette to plan new city traffic and pedestrian patterns.
