Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Community Foundations, Community Improvement & Capacity Building, Philanthropy, Philanthropy, Voluntarism & Grantmaking Foundations
Mission: "Building philanthropy, building community for a thriving Coronado" Our mission is to enhance our community through strategic philanthropic efforts. We bolster nonprofits with additional funding and launch innovative initiatives to address key community needs.
Target demographics: We connect, convene and collaborate to address unmet needs identified by the community. We fund and implement initiatives through our nonprofit partners.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Through the Exceptional Families Program, run by Camp Able Coronado, over 120 families attended year-round events and activities helping to build community. Over 280 individuals were positively impacted by this program. CCF also sponsored the art auction at the Coronado Art and Wine Festival, a signature event hosted by the Coronado Schools Foundation and the Coronado Chamber of Commerce. The funds raised at this auction went directly to K-12 arts programs at Coronado Unified Schools.
Geographic areas served: Coronado
Programs: The Coronado Community Foundation (CCF) supports our local nonprofit partners by building their capacity to provide much needed programs to the community. Our areas of focus include: community health and wellness, community preservation and enhancement, and arts and culture.
