Causes: Arts & Culture
Mission: The mission of the corona symphony orchestra is to bring the richness of live orchestral music to the people of the inland empire and to represent corona and the region with musical excellence as one of the premier performing ensembles.
Programs: Corona symphony orchestra activities may 1, 2017 through april 30, 2018the corona symphony orchestra performed 3 masterworks concerts this past year; june 17, 2017, november 4, 2017 and march 24. They also performed 3 christmas concerts with mannheim steamroller december 2, 2017 and december 15, 2017. They performed community outreach programs at rosa parks elementary schools annual art walk june 9,2017 as well as performing at the corona public library april 5, 2018 and april 10, 2018.
the corona symphony conservatory for students ages 6-18 fall semester started september 6. This is a 12 week after school program teaching violin, viola, cello and string bass. The spring semester started january 17, 2018. Each semester held approximately 135 students. The corona youth symphony orchestra ran congruent with the conservatory schedule.
