Mission: The core program was established in 1973 by a few volunteers from the community. The program was initially designed to provide classroom education for individuals convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs. The core program's mission is to meet the growing need for prevention, education and intervention for the general public and provide alternative sentencing sanctions for the criminal justice population in florida's 19th judicial circuit. It is the organization's mission to network with community agencies to assist with the provision of probation services and intervention/court-related services in a cooperative, cohesive system. The focus of the organization's efforts is to reduce crime, violence and substance abuse from the community.
Programs: The core program provides the following courses and classes: driving under the influence program (approximately 1,367 enrollments) probation services for the four-county area of martin, st.
