Mission: COPE International-USA builds sustainable, indigenous capabilities to ameliorate or resolve needs in developing countries and in the USA while acting in partnership with governmental and nongovernmental organizations. COPE-USA performs international humanitarian and development work by building indigenous capabilities to address the genuine needs of people in the developing world. We concentrate on how capabilities can be developed, implemented and sustained so that a country or region has the means to address current and future needs. From the start, "recipients" are fully engaged, working partners. The approach is comprehensive, intersectoral, and long-term. Within the USA we focus on flood mitigation and emergency preparedness.
