Mission: Ccar's mission is to provide best practice information and training, and to measure improvements related to: pollution prevention; safety for all who maintain vehicles as a profession, including those who work in related businesses; reduction of lost workdays due to accidents or job-related health issues; decrease in costs and liability exposures; and reduction in costs in training in these areas.
Programs: Online training: provides online training to the auto repair industry and students in the automotive education programs that address environmental, health, and safety issues faced in daily operation of automotive repair and automotive parts businesses. There were 32,345 users served through the autoehs online training program.
automotive service compliance assistance: provides a continuing source of federal regulatory information and assistance for the automotive industry. There were 73,000 people served through the ccar-greenlink compliance assistance center and another 2,500 people served through the ccar-osha alliance.
i/m coordinator network: includes state, county, and local governmental agencies engaged in vehicle emission inspection and maintenance (i/m) programs. The annual forum provides its members with opportunity to share and exchange information and ideas.
