Convalescent Aid Society (CAS) provides durable medical equipment (ie: wheelchairs, commodes, walkers, bath chairs, hospital beds, etc.) to anyone in their service area (San Gabriel Valley) at NO cost, for as long as needed. It has no other requirements. By having access to such items, many people can safely stay in their own homes. Also, Convalescent Aid Society is a great proponent of recycle/reuse. When items are returned, they are sanitized and ready to go out on loan again. The staff and volunteers are friendly, patient, and professional.

Mission: To provide the loan of durable medical equipment, free of charge with no time constraints, to the residents of the san gabriel valley, glendale, and burbank.
Programs: Loans of durable medical equipment to those in need. Wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, as well as equipment needed by handicapped individuals. A list of equipment available is shown under the equipment caption on the cas website. All services are provided at no cost to the recipient. During the year ending june 30, 2017, with the help of 12 volunteers, cas loaned out approximately 10,000 pieces of durable medical equipment. As of year-end, cas was servicing over 25,000 clients.
