Mission: To enhance the growth, development and independence of persons with disabilities through person-centered therapeutic, instructional and vocational rehabilitation leading to a broad spectrum of employment opportunities and full integration into community living.
Programs: Supported work and vocational - vocational and work opportunities support individuals to obtain and maintain competitive paying jobs in the community. Services include job assessment and training, assistance in the job search and hiring process, and on-the-job coaching to helpensure success.
day habilitation - day habilitation provides individuals with the opportunity to acquire, retain, or improve self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills. Day habilitation activities are designed to foster communication, greater independence, relationships, self-advocacy, and community inclusion. Individuals contribute to the larger community through volunteer work.
career training programs - training programs are designed to enable individuals to learn competitive and marketable skills in order to enter the job market and achieve sustainability. Individuals with disabilities are referred to cgs by adult career and continuing education services - vocational rehabilitation (acces-vr) for core rehabilitative services or bureau of proprietary school supervision placement.
medicaid service coordination ("msc") - service coordination assists persons with developmental disabilities and their families in gaining access to services and support appropriate to their needs. Qualified service coordinators use a person-centered planning process in developing, implementing, and maintaining an individualized service plan. Family support services - the respite program at cgs provides individuals aged 13-21 with developmental disabilities a structured, safe, and supervised program during school holidays and scheduled closings. The program provides a variety of social and recreational activities and opportunities for community integration and includes transportation to and from the participants' homes.
