Programs: Provided credit counseling services to over 3,000 clients. Certified credit counselors interviewed clients while discussing their current budget and finances and them developing a plan to improve their spending habits. Other items that clients are counseled on include; the importance of paying bills on time, guidance in creating a personal or family budget, and the options they have regarding secured and unsecured liabilities.
the organzation has 14 different educational workshops that met 81 times during the year and had 1400 attendees. The educational workshops included; "managing money in tough times", "creating a spending plan, give yourself credit" "manage your way out of debt", "fighting id theft" and "avoiding id theft". The organization also distributed monthly newsletters via email to subscribers providing budgeting and educational information to improve their financial situations.
