I have been involved with CAWC for over a decade via volunteering, fundraising and board of directors membership. The more I learn and the more staff I meet, the more I realize how critical this organization is to the community and to women and their children trying to escape violence at home. The services offered by dedicated and empathetic staff help women with legal, financial, medical and emotional issues that arise in a domestic violence situation. They save lives every single day. It's an honor to be even a small part of that.

I wanted to work with an organization where I could make an impact, but little did I know just how much my work with CAWC would also impact me. While the goal is to eradicate domestic violence so that organizations like CAWC wont be needed, for the present, the hope and support that they provide people with is inspiring. The services they offer are truly live saving and whenever we are able to hear from survivors I am humbled to be part of that team..
