Mission: The connecticut society of portrait artists is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the classic art of portraiture through education. To promote the continuing artistic education of its members and the general knowledge of the public by sponsoring the seminars, museum visits, trips, lectures, and workshops. To provide a forum for exchange of artistic ideas and opportunity to evaluate each other's work in a spirit of camaraderie. To initiate and participate in events and exhibitions to promote public awareness of the art of portraiture. To seek opportunities to foster public awareness of the work of the members of the csopa.
Programs: Meet area portrait artists and develop non-competetive collegial relationships. Increase the exposore of member artists to master artists and patrons through local events. Particiapte in csopa educations and enrichment activities to develop greater artistic skills and craft.
