CDS prepared my daughter for college life. The curriculum at CDS was well thought out and executed. CDS teachers truly enhanced my daughter’s mental, emotional and physical appetite for rigor. Not only was my daughter cast immediately into her college showcase in the first semester of her freshman year, but more importantly, she learned how to have discipline and respect from the teachers at CDS. These skills continue to have a lasting impact in all her college pursuits.

During his 25 years as CDS Artistic Director, Alan Woodard was tireless in his commitment to excellence in classical ballet, his inclusiveness, and his readiness to assist all dancers, great or small. It's a pleasure to support the CDS scholarship fund in his memory, and to know that teaching and performance excellence continues at CDS. Can't wait for this year's Nutcracker!

SO impressed by non-profit CT Dance School's ballet teaching and performance excellence. This year, the school's 50th (!), the foundress, Elizabeth Gaynor, received the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County's "Educator of the Year" Award. Even in the throes of this pandemic, the resilient and disciplined faculty and dancers are producing--safely--for online December viewing, "The Nutcracker: A Tale Retold," narrated by James Naughton, to continue the school's annual tradition of performing for family, friends and children in the Bridgeport Public Schools. Hope you will join me in supporting CDS and viewing the performance!

This is my daughter’s fifth year at Connecticut Dance School. The school has taught and given her so much, from ballet to commitment to friendships. Her ballet lessons have helped her grow into an independent, responsible, dedicated, hardworking and social young lady. It is such a wonderful community to be a part of, and I couldn’t be happier that she decided to join.

This is a lovely non-profit dance school that fosters a great community, with kind people, love of the arts, personalized attention, and beautiful performances. My daughters have both had excellent experiences here and their annual Nutcracker is a highlight of our holiday season.

Between my training there and later returning to teach, Connecticut Dance School is a wonderful and loving place to experience dance. I hope the next 50 years are filled with as much expertise, care and dedication as the first 50.

I have been involved with CDS for over 14 years as a volunteer. My daughter loved dancing here and the warm and loving environment helped her to create lifelong friendships. The training she received allowed her to be accepted into many pre-professional programs throughout the world. She is a professional dancer and her experience at CDS helped prepare her for her career. Thank you
