Mission: The connecticut community for addiction recovery (ccar) envisions a world where the power, hope and healing of recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction is thoroughly understood and embraced.
Programs: Recovery activities and programs to recruit train and provide opportunities for members recovering from alcohol and drug addiction and to be a voice on issues of importance to the addiction recovery process.
It is of concern that this organization reports a loss for 2011 when the salary and expenses of the leader role is in excess of $100,000 annually. This reflects just under 9 percent of the budget for a grassroots organization. There is no doubt that there are layers of good intentions and work but as many grass root ideas grow the lure of money results in a dull diamond
