Mission: To promote and provide advocacy for, assistance and information to private schools in connecticut that serve children and young adults with disabling conditions.
Programs: Capsef seeks to increase the amount of state funding, programs and services available to special education providers and recipients in the state of connecticut through legislative and regulatory monitoring, lobbying, and legislative formation.
capsef provides model educational and administrative programs and other support to its member organizations. Capsef provides networking opportunities, referral services for the placement of students in proper facilities, and a database of grant resources. Capsef accomplishes this by organizing and operating an annual conference, state approval consulting services, quarterly membership meetings, seminars for administrators and by printing a newsletter.
