Mission: To advocate and promote the development and operation of ambulatory surgery centers through enactment of appropriate legislation and regulation, and to foster high standards of patient care and professional conduct at ambulatory surgery centers.
Programs: Ongoing infection control initiatives designed to improve patient safety and educational opportunities focused on quality improvement and safe injection practices. Public education and standards development were also a focus.
