Causes: Women, Womens Studies
Mission: The mission for Concerned African Women, Inc. is and always has been, to educate and prepare todays youth to be successful through literacy. Our organization works primarily with children in the school system that are referred because they are reading two or more grade levels behind and thus have been identified through Miami-Dade County Public Schools as at "Risk" of perpetuating underachievement and juvenile delinquency. Other major referral sources include the Department of Juvenile Justice Community Control Division and Miami-Dade County Delinquency Prevention Services
